I was told many moons ago by someone that worked for one of the alphabet agencies in DC controlled by the government that if the American public even knew 25% of what the US government does within our borders and what it was capable of, you wouldn't want to live here. And here it is many moons later, and from what I've witnessed in the last 50 or so years, I believe him now more than ever.........

In January, Glenn Ellmers and Ted Richards argued at length on this site that America was rapidly becoming a “soft totalitarian” state. Their essay was a response to former Mitt Romney advisor Gabriel Schoenfeld and others who have spent the last several years asserting that the right is simply paranoid about the “deep state,” and that concerns about abuses of power are overblown.

"Soft" is putting it lightly in my opinion. I remember being back in high school in 2005 - 2007, getting a sense that there was something off with our country. Then 2008 happened. I remember being pressured to choose a side my last year of high school. "Vote Democrat", "Vote Republican", "Do this", "Do that".

What concerned me was the money flow and corporate takeover of our politics. That's when my wheels started spinning. To be fair, maybe that seed had been planted in my head at an earlier age. I was accustomed to watching George Carlin stand up thanks to my parents and he often aimed and took several shots at the Government.

With that said, once I watched a few documentaries and that opened my world up to doing my own research and reading into things at a young age. If I wasn't fishing or playing video games I was busy looking at things online that wouldn't sit well with most people during that time.

What changed my views were the following:

Esoteric Agenda
Zeitgeist
Everything Is A Rich Man's Trick
War is a Racket
Lords of Creation
Operation Northwoods
Operation Gladio
The Corbett Report On 9/11

Not to mention the trillions of dollars that went missing from the Pentagon. The insurance polices that were conveniently taken out before misfortune struck during 911, etc. List goes on and on. It's clear as a day. We're not a Democracy at all. We're a Plutocracy at best. Divided by class warfare that the Alphabet Soup agencies invested time, money and resources into decades to help cultivate, divide and conquer.
