Opinions? I think it would be wise for Trump to select Tim Scott. Originally thought Kristi would be a front runner but my God, is there any better way to kill your chances than to put out a book stating you shot your dog because it was untrainable.
Candidate Price Sportsbook Odds Equivalent
Tim Scott $0.23 +335
Doug Burgum $0.13 +669
Sarah Huckabee Sanders $0.11 +809
JD Vance $0.11 +809
Marco Rubio $0.10 +900
Elise Stefanik $0.08 +1150
Tulsi Gabbard $0.07 +1329
Nikki Haley $0.05 +1900
Vikek Ramaswamy $0.05 +1900
Tom Cotton $0.05 +1900
Ron DeSantis $0.04 +2400
Kristi Noem $0.03 +3233
Gimmie either Burgum, Vance, Scott or Stefanik..
Hell no to Haley..
And not seeing Byron Donalds on that list.. He would be on my list as well.
It doesn't really matter that much to me.
Anyone would be an upgrade over the cackling DEI disaster that currently occupies the position.

Oh, fixing the border issues isn't enough for you ?
Give me Rubio so DeSantis can go to the Senate.
If I was Trump, I'd pick Tim Scott, Byron Donalds, or Tulsi. I just don't see what any of the others add to the ticket. I suspect Tulsi has some less than savory money connections that might be concerning to Trump, but the other two seem clean by politician standards.

Do you own a house and/or car in the State of Florida?
If so, have you seen your insurance rates skyrocketing? Something needs to be done but it seems like our Senator and Gov are out of touch with reality. Rubio is too concerned about the size of his, uh, hands and DeSantis is too concerned about Disney characters.
The little bit of Tim Scott I've seen was him being a political robot. Beyond the platform and ideas which are key, give me someone that talks plainly and directly to the American people, hopefully without a teleprompter. Also, give me someone who hasn't been overcoached by their aids. Perhaps that's too strong an indictment of Scott considering I've watched so little of him, but it's what was apparent to me the little bit I did.
Desantis made some political errors in the primaries and probably made an error in going along with likely being coaxed to run, but I still like him.

My renewal with Progressive is due on the 15th, my policy went down about $600 with no change to coverages. I'd say that's good.
Progressive doubled my HO policy, so I shopped it and ended up at state farm for a little bit more than I had been paying progressive.
Then progressive doubled my auto policy and I shopped that and once again state farm had the best price and I'm now paying less than before.
There must have been some sort of decision at progressive to basically abandon homes in my area of a certain age, I guess.

My uncle used to be an actuary, he told me they did it by ZIP Code.
I'm taking Tulsi Gabbard as my top choice, then Vivek, then DeSantis, in that order. Any of them would wax Kamala in debates, not that that matters.
I can't stand Tim Scott, though Doug Burgum wouldn't be a bad choice, either. I liked what little I heard from him in the debates.

Nice ..... I can relate. The economy is great because MY stocks are booming.
In any event, Florida has the most expensive auto insurance premiums in the US

Floridians are paying 24% more in car insurance this year, than we did last year, according to an analyst with Bankrate, a consumer financial services company.
Florida has secured the top spot in the highest car insurance premiums in the country for the second year in a row, according to Bankrate’s True Cost of Insurance Report.
Vivek would be interesting. Due to his energy, his age and his background.

If he doesn't make VP, he needs a cabinet position.

This isn't a case of "greedy companies"? Isn't that your party's go-to argument for high prices?

What do you think could be done about insurance rates?

Competition. Higher deductible.
People forget to account for the hidden cost of WM and 4-Pt inspections that all carriers now require to write a policy. Hidden $300 right there. It didn't used to be that way. Also, submit a claim and see what happens....
As far as VP, anyone who can get him a few more percentage points in a minority group. Lot of recent momentum with African Americans thus far, so I'm leaning Donalds.
