Yeah it’s just a flier sort of deal. Not worth a lot of thought or concern at this point
Given the injury history of Jags WRs, it doesn't hurt to pick up players with a lot of upside, based on their physical skills.

Brock Purdy
Shannon Sharpe

...just to name a few

Before someone says I am wrong about Bo. He was taken #1 in 1986 but chose to play baseball. Then he was drafted in the 7th round of the 1987 draft.

But I don't know about Mims for a 7th rounder. He wasn't traded to the Jags, so that doesn't sound right.

....and WHOOSH

I wasn't the one that stated he heard that the Jags gave up a 7th round pick for Mims. That was Hurricane.

"Whoosh" to your comments.:-)

I was commenting on Hurricane saying that 7th rounders very rarely amount to much.

most seventh round picks are

Cool
Mims was cut by the Steelers....there was no 7th round pick given. Mims has failed now at 3 teams (Jets, Lions, and Steelers). My expectations are very low. He might be a good practice squad guy for now, to work on his routes and hands.
