Quote:And doesn't return kicks, which is the title of the thread. He returns punts, which would be ok for Lee to do if his hamstrings weren't glass. Thanks for contributing.
There were mentions of punt returns in this thread, but I see your reading comprehension is still bad.

The post that you quoted from me had nothing to do with him returning punts. Your one liner contribution and subsequent childish insult really adds value though.
For those paying attention they actually did have Lee returning kicks in mini-camp.
They are aware of his ability and like I said earlier, don't be surprised if he gets KR opportunities late in the season or in postseason should we scrape that far.
For now - I'm sure coaches would rather him get his 20 or so snaps per game at wide-out and get in a healthy groove.

Who pee pee'd in your cornflakes this morning?
Treestone Ice is my friend.

I did. Do every morning. It's sterile, and i like the taste.
Quote:Edit: just re read the whole thread. The only mention of Lee returning punts was about his inability to do so in college, Mr reading comprehension
Hey, at least I got you to re-read the whole thread. Keep it up and you'll remember everything. That way you can call people out a couple years down the road, and make them feel like inadequate specimens.

Whatever you say, you win. Happy Nancy? Let's get back to Marqise Lee's legs being the equivalent of dried spaghetti as the reason for him not being a suitable kick OR punt return specialist, regardless of who's good at it that's smaller than him. Just because Greene is smaller than Lee doesn't mean his hamstrings have the same shelf life.

Well dang, let's just wrap Lee up in bubble wrap and never play him. You know, because his hamstrings are glass.

Those are your words. I would rather limit Lee's contributions to the WR position, where he's showed the ability to play well, than stick him on kickoff or punt returns, especially since he has a very extensive injury history.

You cannot select the argument of 'injury prone' to one position and not the other. Why put him in at receiver when he can get hurt? After all, he has a very extensive injury history.
I think durability is the issue

You can grasp at straws all you want, but the guy isn't returning kicks (punts or kickoffs) for this team, and everyone knows it's because of a combination of him being too injury prone and him being too valuable to the team as a WR. I think he would be able to return punts, but the risk isn't worth the reward. If he gets hurt playing WR, fine, we've seen it before. A kick return? We have the Corey Grants of the roster, guys who offer virtually nothing to the offense, to return kicks. Lee adds an element to the offense that's too valuable to risk for kick return yards.
Quote:Kick returning is going to be more important in today's league than you think. No one seems to think moving the ball to the 25 for a touch back is going to limit the number of kick returns. Some say we'll see more returns than ever.
Some say we'll see less returns than ever. I think the trend is less returns and less special team tds in the last 2 decades.

Just wanted to bump this.
FINALLY he is returning kicks.
Been a long time coming. Too much success in college to not be back there.
I think he should return punts too. As much as I like Greene, I think Marquise is more dynamic.

Greene has had really good success returning punts for us. I don't think we should switch up a good thing.
Lee has the ability to break a kick return and take it to the house. Grant is fast but in his given opportunities, I don't think he's been close to breaking one.
Fun stat! We havn't had a return TD since 2010.

I disagree, Greene has been pretty good at returning punts.
Just curious though who you guys think is the more dynamic athlete between the 2?
