OK, hear me out.

It's not every day your team and city make a 30 year committment along with a state of the art stadium plan.

It's not every day a team that has struggled to draft talent signs mega-deals for a franchise QB and an elite edge rusher that they drafted.

Oh and just as an aside, they just happened to re-up the league leading tackler at ILB, acquire a stud interior pass rusher in free agency and draft a potential WR1 with elite length and speed.

The time is now. The window is open. The owner has spoken plainly that last year's result isn't good enough. It's time to make the investments pay off.

I think this is a very exciting time to be a Jags fan. Good things lie ahead for a long time to come.  And this offseason will be remembered as a turning point IMO.

Now, if we can just get this OL to get its act together...
If BTJ turns out to be the WR we all hope (and I think he will), you very well could say it’s the best offseason ever.

I love the Calais Campbell offseason. 2 years ago which brought the Jags Travon, Doug Pederson, Lloyd, Kirk, Engram, Foye and Darious is also a pretty good offseason.
If Khan had flushed Baalke and brought in a GM that can draft decently then I'd say you might be right. Unfortunately we're still in position to continue spinning our wheels as the second or third most talented team in the division.

Trevor is great, but the relative lack of talent around him makes people think he's mid.
Taken as a whole, you could make a pretty good case that 2024 is at least one of the greatest offseasons we've had. Long term contract with Trevor, long term contract with Josh Allen, and a new stadium with the 30 year no-relocation clause. No more talk of LA, no more talk of London or St. Louis. And, in my opinion, the contract with Trevor is very team-friendly, and the contract between the Jags and the city is also very reasonable.

It's right up there with 1995, although really, we got the team in 1993, not 1995, so maybe 2024 is the greatest offseason ever.
Wow, this is one of those "eye of the beholder" topics.

For me #1 will always be 1995, the year of the expansion draft, our first college draft and the trade with the packers for Mark Brunell. The compensation? Two draft picks a 3rd and a 5th in the 1995 draft, In exchange, Jacksonville got a franchise leader in all major passing stats.

I look at this period, the last few years as maybe a rebirth of our team, beginning with Doug and TL's arrival along with a 30 year extension of the franchise's commitment to our area. Since these events occurred over a number of years it is not one off season.
Yes. For me, it's an easy yes.

We're getting the new stadium and guaranteed the next 30 years of this team's existence in Jacksonville.
We extended Josh Allen.
We extended Trevor Lawrence.
We traded down and landed our future WR1.
We landed a quality DC.
We made hopefully enough signings to shore up our biggest weaknesses from last year with Morse and Armstead now onboard.

Back to back winning seasons. We should be on the up and up for years to come.
I agree for all of the reason’s you listed. That very first off season is a close second or more like a 1a and a 1b, and will always be cherished. I mean everyone knew the Jags were going to draft Big Bo but then hearing, “With the second pick of the NFL draft the Jacksonville Jaguars select…Tony Boselli” was magical. Then the announcement that the team had signed all of their draft picks on the same day was awesome.
Not to be a downer,  but my opinion is that you have to go through at least one year to see the actual results, before breaking out descriptions that compare it to 30 seasons of the franchise's history.

2017 is probably #1 over here but the way this list reads, it has to be up there.
The last time I felt this good about the Jags' off-season effort was 2008. Man, I *loved* picking up Jerry Porter to replace Dennis Northcutt and I loved getting two of the top rated defensive ends in the draft in the first two picks. They were listening! They saw what the fans saw and they fixed it!
I feel the same now. But I'm trying not to get too excited about the football moves, cause I definitely don't want a repeat of 2008.

But yes, in terms of fan experience, long term stability, and ownership, only the original awarding of the franchise compares.
And throwback jerseys

I am on board with this as well. IF it triggers a 4 year run like the late 90's then yes it is in the running. I am all for that believe me, but right now other than a new stadium and 30 year commitment it is a hopeful plan.  Guys hope is seldom a good plan.

The 30 year commitment and stadium deal already make it top two in offseasons historically for our franchise.

If Josh Allen and TL play as expected - it is hands down the best offseason ever.

If Foye's deal proves worthy and BTJ shows out - ink it in the record books.
I'm really looking forward to this season. I just wish we had depth at center. That's my main concern.
Yes

2017 = #2
2022 = #3

1000% elephants.
At that point, just stop having offseasons,
We always win the offseason.

If that’s your only concern then you’re in a good spot. I’m officially adding quality depth at DE to this list. Need at least 5-7 from somebody not named Allen or Walker.

Side Note to the feel good list of offseason stuff: The Jaguars were a McManus field goal away from beating the Bengals last season which probably would have punched the ticket for the playoffs for the 2nd consecutive season.

Somebody said throw back jerseys which is going to be lit.

We get to see what all the buzz is about on Hodges being strong and moving bodies.

New Defensive Coordinator

And it’s been 30 years bro…since this all started way back in 1995 when gas was about .99 a gallon. We’ve built some history and made some memories through the years. Glad it’s still going strong.

I still play Madden ‘96 on the SNES, which is the only thing I asked Santa for that Christmas. I woke up at 3:30am and opened it up and played it all day. Good stuff. Pap, pap, pow, EA Sports, it’s in the game.
