I have noticed an inconsistency in how X URLs are displayed when copied and pasted into posts. Sometimes as images of the URL and sometimes links.

What causes this variance?

When you copy a link from X it registers as being from "x.com/...".  The board apparently doesn't recognize x.com, but does recognize twitter.com.  When copying an X link and posting to this board, you need to manually edit the link and swap in "twitter.com" for "x.com" with the rest of the link text remaining as is and it will display without the need to click the link.

Exactly correct.  I am working on resolving this issue.

You, sir, are the man.  I don't know who you are, but your efforts cannot be understated.

Bruh, it would be "overstated" if you want to compliment him. I think that's what you wanted but if not it was an excellent job of backhanded compliment.
