Great to see our organization finally retaining the talent we drafted. Cisco next...
Agreed. Extended Oluokon, Allen, Lawrence and Campbell.
Cisco should be next. Maybe Walker Little on a fair deal to replace Cam Robinson full time in 2025.

WoW
Very cool, great to see us drafting guys that merit retention and then RETAINING THEM. Truly is a new era.
Little bit of a calculated risk IMO. Great upside but he’s kinda been up and down. I know part of that is due to injury but we’ll have to see how he does going forward.
This is what happens when you lock up QB1. Having him in place means that the front office can focus the cap space on the other important positions. We have QB1, DE1, CB1, TE1, LG1, MLB1 locked up long term. Not to mention young guys like from our last two drafts that we have for at least 3 more year. This core is tight and pretty wide.

I am not so sure it was all injuries, but he better prove he's worth it.

Not sure I understand --- finally retaining the talent we drafted? Our drafts have sucked from 2008 through 2020 so there really weren't players that we desired to retain. The only one that I know of that really got away was Jalen Ramsey, and even then we got two 1st round picks, which we wasted away on L. Chaisson but did land ETN and Jordan Smith. Without ETN we probably don't go to the playoffs in 2022 ....

I feel better about it because the new defensive staff has been able to evaluate Campbell in practice. He's big and physical guy. He should be able to play press man.

Finally drafted talent worth retaining.*

I am hoping it was just the injuries last year that really hampered him. In this new look defense with a new coach in place, hopefully he'll have his best year to date. Having the interior of the defensive line should bode well for the secondary in general.

Yeah. Hopefully this is the beginning of a very, very nice run with a perennial play-off team and potential Super Bowl contender. These are typically the moves you see out of said teams.
It's been one hell of a off season though.

It'll be interesting to see what they do with Etienne and Cisco now. I suspect they're hoping Bigsby will splash enough in 2024 to where they could consider trading or moving on from Etienne in 2025, early 2026.
Not sure what the safety market is right now, Cisco could also opt to play out his contract and let his play this year increase his value. I honestly would in this defense. If Nielsen is as aggressive as everybody says about him?
Should give this secondary ample opportunities to tee off on receivers or ballhawk some bad throws. Cisco has been streaky. Sometimes I feel like he's on fire for a few weeks in a row between his hits and an interception here and there, but, there's other times where I barely see him move the needle on the stat sheet.
Love it. Not from players wanting to stay here and from us actually drafting talent worth keeping.
I’m not used to this.

Little isn’t starting material. Etienne and Cisco would be next. And Anton would be your next LT. Cam ain’t going nowhere for a minute. Maybe Hodges at RT down the road.
I dig it.
Tyson's second year saw him beat out several corners considered "elite" by most analysts in a number of stats including completion percentage allowed. (54.2%)
Then his third year he played through injuries and slumped.
The new DC has expressed lots of confidence in him as has the CB position coach, so it would appear he's back to 2022 form. That injury slump last year may have gotten us a deal on his retention if he adapts well to Nielsen's scheme. Clearly, the staff at Everbank believe he will.
Love seeing our core players retained. I am hoping if the oline can play better Eteinne can showcase his talents this year. Last years blocking for the run game was piss poor.
