It will be interesting to see how Tank develops this year. I think they want another back to help with the workload but no one is coming close to Etienne. If he has a bad year do they look in the draft for a replacement for Tank?

Etienne is still too valuable and important a part of our O to let go.

You draft or bring in priority UFA almost every year. You are always looking to replace with younger and cheaper and it’s a position that you rotate the players.
DL is dominating. Travon being on the line is where I've wanted him for the longest time. He's good for another 10+ sack season.
Things I like:
Trevor
BTJ across the middle
Engram
Maason Smith with the pressure

Things I don’t like:
IOL
Ready to see Smith and Cole

They couldn't block Walker

You take a chance on UFA at RB and see what they can offer but we'd be very lucky to find one that offers Etienne's production. I completely get the leagues attitude towards RB's but I disagree that the position isn't as important anymore. An RB that can break tackles and get 1st downs make a huge difference over the course of a season, especially in January when the weather becomes a factor.

I'm not saying we pay Etienne crazy money but I would keep him and if we find strong competition it's a win win.
Two big holes opened up by the left side of the OL on those last two runs.

Baalke has drafted a RB in every single draft he has ever had, even going back to his 49er days. I think it's all but guaranteed he will draft another one next year no matter what happens.
I'm liking Hodges and Van Lanan on the right
Drafting rbs every year is a smart play

Injury free.
70+ yards rushing.
Lawrence with 2 TD's and a perfect PR.
2.5 sacks from the defense.
1 turnover forced.
Shutout or 3 points surrendered only.

Close
Especially if you have more than 7 picks every year

Put it this way, Hodges is making Fortner look fine

He is helping to fix Fortner's issues

But I don't see us using any day 1 or day 2 picks for a RB. I'd expect a late round or UFA flyer on a guy with some upside and hope he can develop but I just don't see us finding a player that late who offers what Etienne does. He's got speed but he's also a tough runner who can break tackles and is a receiving weapon too. We may get to a cap situation where we have 2-3 cheap guys who can do a job there but I don't see Etienne getting continuous injuries or lower production like say Barkley. Etienne still looks like he's got a good few years left.
Trammel I think is earning a PS spot
Trammel had great hands
28-0 coming
28-0
That was a hell of a throw Mac Jones made to Trammel.
I don't know how anyone can say. Mac Jones is not a good quarterback. that's absurd.
Hope we look polished like this in two weeks
They dragged that Blank interview out for as long as our drive was going.
