The preview is I get to sleep in Monday morning and now only have to have my Tuesday afternoon ruined by a jags loss as aposed to my whole monday
Jags 27-17, Brown gets a sack/fumble.
It's hilarious that we have reached the "Nobody believes in us" game in week 3 but here we are.

Just listened to Ben Solak and his main thing the Jags must do to win this game: Play situational football. He mentioned that this may be a bottom 3 coached team in the league.

Stop making key boneheaded plays at the most opportune times. Don't call a double move on the 1 yard line when your offensive line showed you that they can't block the Browns DL. Don't fumble on the 2 yard line when a score puts you up 24-7.

I am still keeping the faith. The solution is incorporating what worked in 2022 and 2023 with some of the newer concepts they want to try in 2024. You know you can't run it with this offensive line in short yardage situations. So, you're going to have to supplement there, or, have bread and butter passing concepts and plays that you know at least 60% of the time you have a chance to move the chains with a quick throw.

At least give Lawrence two things in these situations.

1. Options. I want him to have a specific formation with personnel in these situations that makes sense for him with the ability to hand it off, run with it or get the football out quickly.

2. Time. Not just in the pocket. He needs time to read the defense. That call needs to be in his ear and ready to go with him out of the huddle and looking up at the front seven and secondary.

When it's 2nd and 3? Let's go Engram and Strange in a stacked TE formation, with, a combination of BTJ and Kirk and the ability to move Etienne out wide. They need to have that ready to go somewhere, quickly, so he can dissect the defense. Giving him a pair of TE's, his best deep ball threat and his best route runner along with our RB1's ability to run routes and use his speed is the best thing you can do for him.

Get him out there with 20 seconds on the game clock to read the looks. Maybe he feels the safety is [BLEEP] around too close around the box and he's got the one-on-one with BTJ on the outside. Cool. I can now move one of my TE's over to support the OT to block the safety or linebacker and the RB knows he's in the backfield to help now with pass PRO.

Maybe he motions Kirk over to one side and realizes it's man coverage, cool. Now I have a pair of TE's stacked to my right or left and I am clearly handing this one to Etienne because the CB just left his post on the opposite side of the field. All it takes is a good edge set by the TE there to spring Etienne for 5+ yards in that particular situation.

Maybe he motions BTJ over from one side and he realized it's zone coverage. Cool. Now I have two WR's stacked on one CB and S and I can run a natural pick play there, or, even better, they just [BLEEP] up and isolated a zone on Engram with a LB and it's a clear mismatch there for me to exploit right over the middle of the field.

There's just a wide variety of ways to attack these [BLEEP] defenses in those situations and they can do it if they just give the kid the options and time to read and react. He's not dumb. He's shown he can read a defense and cash in on a big play before.

It’s the expectation of being a good team vs the old days when we were just happy to not get 50 burger put on us. The key will be to actually have an nfl looking offense instead of the high schoolish looking one the first two weeks. Key two will be for Walker, Hines Allen and armstead to  wreak havoc.
As bad as the Jaguars have been, this looks like a "trap game" for the Bills.

Bruh the bad part has already happened. Twice. I'm hoping the other shoe drops and the third time's the charm to wake Kahn the [BLEEP] up.

We now have a 17 game season. Winning this one and then beating the Texans next week puts us at 2-2 and right back in it. Will they is the question?  The defense is playing Playoff caliber football right now, the offense is playing losing football.

My reasons why I think the Jaguars will get embarrassed again:

*I am not sold on Lawrence like the vast majority of the board. I study the game footage released publicly.  I still see a guy who misses far too many easy ones (ones Mahomes or Allen never miss), he still lacks a finesse on the ball where every ball thrown the receivers have to work harder than they should to catch it.  Yes our team has a high drop rate but Lawrence contributes to that.  Sometimes a soft lob or layup is all that is required or needed but Lawrence only has the old fast ball. Lawrence is also still very bipolar.  He will throw a ball 40 yards in the air that will make your just drop jaw drop in awe then on the very next play throw the ball 3 yards above the receiver.  He is very frustrating to watch.  This is year 4 and we still should not be seeing these things.  Lawrence is great when he is good but He is just horrific when he is bad. Lately it's been much more bad than good. I questioned that contract when they gave it to him and I still question it.   I see a guy just full of potential but it has not been shown on the field as of late.  I keep hearing he has no time in the pocket but I saw a stat recently who stated Lawrence has had more time in the pocket this season than Josh Allen and a handful of other QB's.  I am tired of hearing the team isn't good enough around him. The great ones make teams better. Brady won rings with no name receivers/rb's. You give Brady this roster and I would bet my bank on the Jags winning the SB. I am not expecting Lawrence to be Brady but atleast be good. He has not been good by any measure the last 14 or so games.
I do not see Lawrence having a good game against the Bills secondary. Could be one of those multipick games.  Let us hope I am totally wrong.

*Baalke doubled down on the offensive line and lost. This line should of been rebuilt with free agency and the draft but they stayed with the status quo outside of the one new player who is playing the best right now..  It's not a horrible line (outside of Harrison/where is little as replacement?) but far from good.  The bills will handle this line and it could be a long day if Lawrence is forced to play from behind.

*Coaching: To cut Lawrence some slack the coaching has been bad too. The play calling has been questionable: Seems like there is no rhythm or consistency. 17ppg is all that needs to be said. Coaching decisions (Inside our own 40 in a competitive game going for it inside our own 40?), Letting Harrison get the QB killed (normally people are benched for those performances but if that is the best we have Baalke is to blame I just got to wonder where is that second round investment in Walker Little), In Not having the team amped up or fired to play, Getting the play call in so late we are burning timeouts to save penalites, just on and on.   I thought Doug was going to come in here and have this team Fired up like the Eagles but at home they looked so lethargic.   I can see Doug here making some bad gambling calls again.  Will get out coached!

I do not say this gleefully and really hope I am wrong. I see the Jaguars coming out on MNF with the offense looking terrible as usual and the Defense keeping us in it until they eventually break.  The offense does not sustain drives and the defense gets tired out.

Jags win! Hey what can i say I am a fan.
Bills 20 - 3 Jaguars

Our elite offense strikes again.
It's a trap game for the Bills but that won't matter in the end. It will be close until the end of the third quarter when our defense is starting to be gassed.

Bills win 38-6
If the offense comes out like the last two weeks, where their main play calls are runs between the tackles and deep passes, it will be an ugly loss.

If the play calling turns around, and we see more bootlegs, rollouts, off tackle runs and short timing passes, they will beat the Bills by at least a TD.

Weird, it's like you've completely forgotten that the offense was 1 yard from a 3 score lead in Miami at the end of the 3rd quarter of week 1. I'd love them to be in that position every week.

Thats not saying much lol.  Miami sucks and they beat us. The other team that beat us does too and they just lost to the Giants at home.  Both of our losses come from trash teams but we have just been worst.

[BLEEP] outta here with that nonsense, gimmer that 17-7 with the ball on the 12 yard line every week and you'll be drooling all over yourself about how great the team is.
