That was such a great play!!!

A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

That was a thing of beauty.

My step dad and I argued whether that was an audible.  I think the play called was to go with the FB dive, and Trevor changed it to the flip to Tank.  It just looked so sweet, either way, it was a great scheme and Lawrence flipped a great ball.  Good play design, great execution.
I would love to see both on the field at the same time. Give the defense something to think about.

By watching the way Cam tried to set up his block (his angle etc), I can't help but feel like that play was designed to be a toss going way outside around the edge. Instead the TE gets blown up and Cam almost pushes a guy directly into Tank.

Really think Tank saved this play and turned it into gold.

Ohhhh, yeah, that looks right too.

Tank had the vision to turn it back to the middle.

Gave em the Doss Special.
A THROWBACK INDEED
THIS ONES FOR FRED
I'll eat crow here. I hated the pick last year. He struggled his rookie season. He's shown this year that he putting in the effort to improve and forget last year. He's busting big runs. Still needs to work on blocking.

I think you need to keep the hot hand at the moment. Bigsby gets more of the carries next game.
The board went down but this is the thread I was looking for when I made it a few weeks ago.

Tank is absolutely a game-breaker all of the sudden. Again, I will completely retract all previous statements made about him last year - but he has completely proven me wrong.

He looks extra springy but very decisive when hitting running lanes - and he doesn't go down easily. Once again, I strongly believe he should be the feature back and then spelled by ETN. He's exactly what our offense needs in a competent running game and can make our O-line look better than they might be while. Not to mention helping Lawrence out and balancing this offense by always keeping them "on-schedule" with positive run plays.

Thank you Cartavious, thank you.

There was a play in the 2nd half where he ran it up the middle, and then spun out, then bounced backwards for what looked like 5 yards, and then got the 5 yards he lost back.  All for a gain of like 3.  But that play was amazing.  Tank is not just a tank.  He's got something special there.  The play I'm referring to was something I haven't seen since... Heck I don't know when.  But he lept and sprinted 15 yards around the field for a 5 yard gain.

Tank was doing special things this whole game.

I know exactly the play you're talking about and that's what prompted me to say how he looks "extra springy".

That play looked like something straight out of a Madden video game and every move/juke looked smooth - all without losing speed. Dare I say, almost Barry Sanders-esque (not going there but you know...)

He's doing things ETN used to do now, all while having a power rushing skillset as well. He just doesn't go down on first contact like ETN which as I mentioned earlier in the thread, that it would help this offense out better than ETN's current output.

You better be eating a raw egg, or sacrificing a cockroach, or getting yourself a live rooster.  Get a bucket of KFC and burn it...  Something to ensure the future progress.  Because, for the love of all things holy, if you just jinxed Bigsby, I swear to the football gods I will refer to the post as the reason why.

Laughing Done, done, and done.

Tank Bigsby over the last 2 games: 264 yards rushing
Travis Etienne over the last 2 games: 67 rushing yards

If you include the Dolphins game, Bigsby has 337 yards rushing
If you include the Dolphins game, Etienne has 111 yards rushing

Bigsby vs Miami, Houston, and Indy - 2 rushing TD
Etienne vs Miami, Houston, and Indy - 1 rushing TD

Bigsby has double the ypc of Etienne

Bigsby is playing like he wants to unseat Etienne as the number 1 option at the RB position, and has proven that he is a weapon on offense with his sudden cuts, and down hill running style with enough speed to cripple defenses. If Bigsby would have scored against Houston on his 58 yard run, the Jaguars would have won that game with a record of 2-3…his break away speed is not elite but he makes up for that with power.

Defenses are going to have to gameplan for Bigsby from here on out. Mans is officially a problem. His running style is infectious and changed the attitude of the offensive line. Ezra Cleveland and Brandon Scherff were fired up and pushing each other on that Bigsby pile pushing TD.

He also allows guys like BTJ to get loose, and then that allows Kirk to get loose. That type of offense is what this team needed.

Shoutout to the offensive play callers to get some designed screens to Bigsby and Etienne, and for going back to the old I-Formation with some playaction just enough to get them backers and safeties to bite for that half second in order for everything to flow easier. It’s about time.

Now if we can get that secondary improved.

Such burst and hard running, physicality. He's good now, he's going to get better. Keep feeding him.

What? Both etn and tank are excellent. Etn will show out soon enough. It’s still a young season. I do like what someone posted here about trying to have them both in the game at the same time.
ETN is either injured or he's on a pitch count with Doug trying to ensure he's fresh for a late season run. He was conspicuously on the sideline for a lot of the 4th quarter with DJ getting his opportunities instead. Or maybe it's pass pro deficiencies.
(10-06-2024, 08:29 PM)carp8dm Wrote: [ -> ]I just don't get why Johnson is getting reps at times...  That facemask call, in my opinion, was total trash.  But why not have ETN or Tank in that play?

Either way, what I'm trying to say is that Tank and ETN are a great combo.  Not quite Taylor and MJD in 2007, but they are really good together.  Just keep using those 2.  They both have great attributes.  Johnson is too raw to have in on that facemask play.  Were ETN and Tank bruised up or hurt on that specific play?  I doubt we'll know.  But having Johnson in was a head scratcher for me.

D'EJ is a six year vet, he ain't raw. I think it's that ETN is hurt/unable and Tank needed a breath. DEJ may be our best blocking RB, and it was a bad block. Still didn't see a 15-yarder on his block, but refs gonna ref
