We should go back to that.

You look good.  You feel good.  You play good.

You wear a practice jersey you play like it's practice.

I see that the jerseys are coming out for the jests game, that's good.

No.

"Wardrobe, not plays" is certainly a new one.

I sure hope Vic is not a stealth reader of the board...
I'm going to be honest and totally forgot how good the stripes looked on the pants to go along with the Throwback Jerseys. It just stood out to me for some reason and I hope we see more of these uniforms in the future.
After this season, they have the option to change the current uniforms. Go back to the prowler. Make it permanent!

NO.  PLEASE.  Don't give me hope
I only have one request. Put teal somewhere in the road uniform, and not just as trim. Numbers, pant stripe, sleeve stripe, socks, something. Please don't repeat the travesty that was the 2004 road uniform, the 2009 road uniform, and the current road uniform. Make it like the 1995, the 1997, or a low key version of the 2013.

Agree.

Let me ask you, cause I'm getting old...  But doesn't the teal we wore on throwback Sunday look different from the teal we wear on "normal" days?  It just seems like everything got so bland.  I'm not even 50, but I feel like maybe I need cataract surgery.

The shade of teal has changed several times with the various uni updates over 30 years
I assume they made an effort to get the throwback matched to the 90's shade as closely as they could

It did look different

You described the shade of teal as different to our current

I was offering confirmation

Not sure personally.  If people say so I believe them but my eyes aren't that good.  To me our teal has always been halfway between Miami's aqua and Detroit's Honolulu blue.
Maybe it looked different because the throwback has a lot of gold on it and the current one has none.

I know.  I just thought it popped.  It's not that it just looked different.  To me, it reminded me of 2007. It just looked like, I don't know. A better time... Can't describe it other than that.

I wasn't trying to argue.  The double posting wasn't on purpose either.

...Who are you going to believe- your lying eyes or the truthful marketers?...

I think you're not alone in this feeling. As a matter of fact, I know you're not because I've felt it too. From the start I've felt it, and I don't think you and I are alone in this. I would put money on it being a subconscious reason for the fallout or disillusionment of fan support for the team amongst people our shared age- in the 90s and early 00s they looked sharp and they played great; when the change in teal came and they looked cheap what are we going to expect from their play or the direction of the team and organization as a whole?...
...I see the response to the throwbacks from the fans, and people like you and I, as an emotional response to the color scheme that I hope the powers that be within the organization are monitoring and take note of. Give us what we want; bring the original color scheme back and put the cheap look to rest for good.
I see a benefit- for the older fans it'll harken to the so-called "glory days" and for the younger fans it'll seem like a new beginning, something different than what they're used to seeing and can unite the two groups under a shared color identity and tradition.

+1

I share this sentiment completely. Nostalgia is a helluva drug and some good dope.
I see an opportunity for the powers that be to give us ol' dope fiends what we want while making some new dope fiends in the process that'll come back time after time for the fix.
Try to tell me the bomb from Lawrence to BTJ didnt look like Mark to Jimmy. Try to tell me Tank's stiff arm while crankin for the TD didnt look like FRED dealing out the Doss Special. This is something the organization can capture and use.
You take the building rocks of the players, dress em up lookin real nice, cook up some wins and boom, you got the good [BLEEP], babay, Everybody in town will want to get to the trap house for a taste of this high. Hell, I drove two hours both ways that day to get mine. And if they come my way while building the new trap house, stylin and profilin- looking only as they can look-and play games in Orlando? AND IF THEY WIN? Sheeeeeiiiittt, I'm back on the wagon. Or off the wagon. Whatever with the wagon, the point is this:

MAKE THE TRAP GREAT AGAIN.
Whatever they decide to do, just make sure Teal and Black are the main colors. The toilet paper all white uniforms with black pants look like practice uniforms.

They should have never changed them to begin with.
My old 82 from 1997 and my new 23 are the same shade if you account for the aging.

That's probably your issue as well Carp!

Edit: my non-official 20 Natrone looks bluer than the Smith one though.

The older teal seemed a darker shade, yes.

Seemed brighter when we moved to the piping uniforms (gonna need some brain bleach after resurrecting that memory)

The numbers also have outlines so they look like something more than a practice jersey or wish.com knockoff.
This is my favorite of the alternate jersyes we've seen over the years. Put it with the current black pants and let's roll.

Those were sweet.  Just take the current throwback and swap the white with black and you'd have it.  That way the font and the logos match.
