Needs to be discussed more
That 4th quarter exposed it and we saw it in thr last few rounds

3rd &8, 3rd & 15 and we give up a huge chunk play and allow a first down or a td

I understand the injury atm to the secondary but its such a bummer man

The good news is congrats to the defence for breaking the turnover drout
i think the 3rd and short for the offense should be discussed more tbh.

3rd down kryptonite for both sides lolol
This secondary not only has backups playing, I don't think they have all adapted well to Nielsen's scheme.

Way too many open guys for QBs to find, and the safties have somehow become bad tacklers.

Cisco's play fell off a cliff in his anticipation and reaction to passes - and Johnson just does not look the part at all at SS.

Nielsen and Kris Richard are gonna have their hands full trying to stop the bleeding on yards allowed throughout the air.
It's out of control.
This current secondary is right up there with the worst in Jaguars History, even with Campbell on the field. Tre Flowers couldn’t beat Flacco to the sideline. Cisco is not a man to man cover safety and can be targeted. Brown is a backup level player that has good effort. Rookie Jones is a slot that can give you reps on the outside.

We need a pro bowl level safety or another corner.

Phew.  That was when I got really worried.

NYC4Jags mentioned that the players are still adapting to the new DC.  I think that's partially true.  But the DC is also trying to figure out his players, too.  It seemed like we were playing way more zone than we did in previous games this year.  After focusing on man-to-man coverage, we're moving to zone coverage now.  The secondary is being asked to re-do what they were training for during the preseason.

Injuries have decimated the secondary.  But we're getting healthy now.  Having Savage has been good.  That Antonio Johnson (#26) was being picked on all day.  There has to be something Neilsen does to shore up that guys performance.  Either replace him, or coach him up.  Otherwise, he's gonna be a liability every week.
