The election is not over. A week after the polls closed the counting is still going on. The control of the House of Representatives is in the balance as no party currently has 218 seats. Where we are at. (I looked at both AP and Reuters websites)
Republicans 216 seats called
Democrats 207 seats called
12 seats outstanding.
I am expecting recounts to be required in 4 races as they are virtually 50-50 currently
Iowa - Republican leading by 733 votes 99% reported
Maine - Democrat leading by 726 votesĀ 99% reported
Ohio- Democrat leading by 1,193 votes 94% reported but the race has been tightening
Calif. 45 - Republican leading by 2275 votes 86% reported but the race has been tightening
There are 4 more races Democrats are leading by 5,000 votes or more
There are 3 more races Republicans are leading by 6,000 votes or more
There is 1 more race Republicans are leading by 3,122 votes
Amazing we are a week removed and the counting is not complete. I guess everyone is being extremely careful.
