This is one of the most disturbing incidents I have seen in a long time.

In short, an 18 year old male in Florida was sending sexually explicit texts to a 13 year old girl. However, he did not know that after several interactions, when the "girl" agreed to meet him he was actually conversing with her mother. And when he arrived at the meeting, she confronted him over his inappropriate behavior with a 13 year old. Where he then pulled out a gun and threatened her and her family.

I am glad the family is safe, and I have to wonder if not for the mother realizing what was going on if the daughter would have become yet another missing person case.

I just can't believe guns can text nowadays! What will they think of next?
Of course she would have become a victim. The very fact that he agreed to meet with a '13 year old' tells you that. The fact that he pulled a gun on the mother and threatened the family tells you he wouldn't have let the girl go had it been her who showed up.
