Shad does Nothing:  Always an option.  I remember how long he  held onto Dave Caldwell and Gus Ice Cream Bradley!

Shad does a half measure:  This is probably the most likely.   A coordinator or two gets fired, or he fires Doug but Keeps Baalke.   If he continues keeping the old toxic culture around then why bother changing at all?

The Bill Belichick Rumor: Bill is a good coach but lousy Gm.  If he wants full control it is a recipe for disaster. Bill as GM/coach loved to trade down in the draft but he often chose mediocre players.  How much was he outside of Tom Brady part of those Superbow rings?  I am indifferent because he would instill a hard-nose, old school coaching mentality. He just did not win much without Brady.  I am indifferent about this

Brings in another Coach who buys the Koolaid:  If we are being honest, the team just isn't talented.  Lawrence is an ok QB but no world beater, we do not have any other star players outside of possibly BJT.  Hines-Allen has proven to be over rated and Walker just is not as consistent as you want him to be as a number 1 overall pick.  I want to see a coach to come in and make these guys earn a roster spot.  We keep seeing players like Darby, Armstead, and others keep taking the field and having 0 production.  I rather have some hungry scrubs out there who can develop than watch these veterans keep taking the field and doing next to nothing.  We need a total culture flip here.

OFFENSIVE LINE Has to be top priority:  I am Labeled a Lawrence hater by some but I am giving him a break here.  This offensive line needs an overhaul from the top to the bottom.  They can't get push on 2nd and 1 or 3rd and 1 and god forbid 4th and short when it really matters.  Pass protection is sub-par while run blocking is a disaster against the better teams. It is another example of a whole group of guys where we do not have a star or even rising star among them.  I am a believer in in starts up front.  Whoever is in charge of signing personal to this team cannot ignore this offensive line again.  I am concerned either Baalke or some other Gm comes in and gives us its the whole "Scheme" issue.  Bigger, stronger, faster?  They failed at all that.  We need 4 new starting offensive line.  I had hopes on Walker Little but coming back down to reality.
He's not going to do anything. Unfortunately.
How much influence does Tony have on this team? Seems like he's the more progressive of the two (Shad).. Seems like he has his finger on the pulse a little better than Shad..

It's a good reference if you can actually hear it in Jim Ross's Bells' Palsy voice.

Jim Ross and Jerry "the King" Lawler in the 90s was peak wrestling commentary.

Though I also loved The Brain and Tony Shivani on WCW.  The Brain was always so dang dry and witty.

But nothing was better than Jim Ross' righteous indignation while the King would literally be having a high pitched emotional meltdown.  I miss those days of wrasslin'

Man I gotta hankering for a can of Brawndo
Is Belichek a better GM than Baalke? Is Belichek a better coach than Pedersen? If the answer to both is Yes, then why not consider Belichek? At least when its time to clean house again, you only have one firing to perform. And you wouldnt have to worry about conflict between coach and GM, unless Belichek is a closet schizophrenic.

I'd take Belichik as a GM.  But if he wants to HC, you can't hire him.  He's 10 years past the time where he could have the energy and competence to be a proper HC.

I respect his mind for the game.  But being a HC is a 24/7 job.  I just don't see how he could be successful at his age...  But if he wanted to mange the team and direct personell picks, I'd be OK with that.  I don't see how anyone would be against Belichik coming here to direct the team.

Coaching the team?  That's a non-starter.

I’m for bb at coach. He would take this defense and make them top 10. Then, the offense would have time to miss fire until they improve.

You're not worried that he no longer has the energy to run an NFL team.  That would be my biggest concern for Belechick.  He's no spring chicken...

Him getting GM duties in NE was literally the worst thing that happened to them. Things started going to [BLEEP] once that happened. He's not a good GM. He's too old school in his way of thinking.

Also, no, I don't want him as HC either. Jesus. We need to stop trying to grab retreads and finally get someone younger to try and be the next guru.
