Figured this would be a good place to post findings. Once this department gets fully up and running, there's going to be some really crazy findings and where a lot of our taxpayer money is going..
Buckle up!!

- Pentagon can’t fully account for $824 Billion - $236 Billion in improper payments in federal programs in 2023 - $200 Billion in pandemic relief went to fraud/abuse - The U.S. failed to track $1 Billion in Ukraine Aid How much do we not yet know about?

Items your tax dollars are being spent on: -$100,000 to study if tequila or gin makes sunfish more aggressive -Nearly $1M to study if cocaine makes Japanese quail more sexually promiscuous -$750,000 to study if the moon landing line was “One small step for Man” or “One small step for ‘A’ man”— the study was inconclusive.

"In 1955, there were less than 1.5 million words in the U.S. Tax Code.
Today, there are more than 16 million words.
Because of this complexity, Americans collectively spend 6.5 billion hours preparing and filing their taxes each year.
This must be simplified."

DOGE findings?
The items you post are from March of 2024 from the GAO.
DOGE had nothing at all to do with the findings.

What's more important? Where it came from or that it's happening?
Those "improper payments" Musk has identified include servicing interest payments on US Debt.
I really hope Musk and Trump are stupid enough to stop that spending. When the US economy collapses, we will definitively show why conservatives and billionaires should never be close to power again.

Well, you could start by telling the truth instead of posting lies.
Then, people might listen to what you have to say.

In all fairness it's the Air Force's job to do due diligence. Unless they were contract bound to buy from Boeing, which is possible, then they should have shopped elsewhere. Hell, the idiot who approved of a contract that allowed Boeing to charge that much should be demoted, and they still should have shopped elsewhere. We'll probably find out some politician made money or got other perks from forcefully advising the AF to accept the bid.
All of that needs to be cleaned up. I get the role of lobbyists but they have become way too powerful and the country gets screwed over because of it.

That's a false choice. It isn't either/or. One has nothing to do with the other.
What's more important? How about an OP that knows what the F it's talking about? We could start there

Soap dispensers. On cargo planes. These aren't great numbers. Pennies to the Air Force.
We need auditors. More IRS agents. Less cokehead and less hypocrite.
DOGE will be able to find billions on savings but wont get anywhere near $2 trillion unless it defaults on debt.
I just hope cutting means bringing in vulture consultants like McKinsey and BCG or just replacing full time employee with contractors who cost more in the long term.

Wanna bet Trumps US Space Force, all 10,000 of them, never fall under the DOGE microscope? Wanna bet SpaceX is their first private contractor?

The GAO has been around for over a 100 years and is an independent, nonpartisan agency that is headed by the Comptroller General and works for Congress and is tasked with examining how taxpayer dollars are spent and providing Congress and federal agencies with objective and reliable information to help the government save money and work more efficiently.
You are correct, what is DOGE? A politically appointed, non partisan committee with no legislative power who answers to Trump alone.
