Scott Bessent is Trump's nominee for Treasury Secretary.
He is openly gay, married to another man, and spent most of his career working for George Soros.
According to Wikipedia, he is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Oh ma gawd! He controls society and is going to make everyone gay! I knowed it!
What a racist bigot Trump is. Hitler!

Marty gets his worldview from the NYT. He believed this thread would stoke the rants of MAGA homophobia that he's been told it would.

Hmm...
I read that one of Scott's major goals was to enact Project 2025 and round up all the rinos and send them to concentration camps.

I’m just gonna say it. Trump is the worst racist, homophonic, sexist Hitler ever. Can we impeach him now???

He also hates women.

Interesting. Seem Trump is putting together a pretty diverse group of appointees, most are not Washington insiders. As for this one.
Openly Gay? well he is an adult and free to make those decisions. As long as he doesn't dress up in a rainbow suit and parade down 5th avenue or come for our children I see him as just another person on this.
He is 62 a Yalie that graduated in 84. He did break into the finance business working 9 years for Soros. (1991-2000) So a quarter century ago. My third-hand info says it has been many years since those two even spoke. Actually this gives him insight to how this [BLEEP]-roach operates. So 9 years out of 40 is not a lot. Besides with the breath of the Soros operation a lot of people have worked for him.
He has from the beginning been a Trump supporter donating millions.
Those with reservations or just want to know should read more than a few articles as most are presented with one slant or another. Here are just two.

I'm just worried about the shapeshifters just taking on a new form. RINO's weren't always RINO's. Kamala has a glock. Hillary always carries hot sauce in her purse. Lindsey Graham loves Trump.

Since RINO stands for "Republican in name only," what exactly is a "real Republican?" And what makes a person a RINO?
My impression is that anyone who calls himself a Republican but doesn't like Trump gets labeled a "RINO." So tell me, can a person be a Republican and not like Trump, or not like certain things about the Republican Party?

Republican party no longer exits. That party has become a personality cult.

It stands for people like Yurtle McConnell and Miss Lindsey who do their best to side with Demoncrats at every opportunity.
"Republicans" like Mikesez who only register as Republican so they can get attention by siding against their own team.
It's the John McCain/Mitt Romney/John Thune wing who give up everything in order to get the D.C. cocktail party invites that validate the Establishment popularity they so crave.
In short, the left's Useful Idiots.

Maybe don't talk so much about the 2nd amendment and they'll invite you next year.

Almost like there's an impenetrable Establishment in control of everything. You might see it too in how your [BLEEP] party put up a [BLEEP] candidate not one person in your party actually voted for. But you're far too dense for that kind of self-assessment.

"Establishment" is better than a dictator with SCOTUS-granted immunity, who had already tried to steal an election.

What do you want to know? Democrats don't run on the bigotry; they do somewhat run on that, i.e., 'people who support equal rights, vote for Democrats for that policy', and yes, Democrats do have a lesser version of a corporate agenda where 'social issues' are somewhat used for power for that.
