Quote:Of course not, but that happens every year, Nobody thought the Panthers would win 15 games either.

Alright then, I'm not going to rule out ten games for us.
I don't think it's a good idea to make a prediction like this. Sure, it'd be great if it happens, but you're mostly likely setting yourself up for disappointment.

No you're not. If you worry about being disappointed, you have low expectations.
Quote:Were the Vikings or jets predicted to win 10 games (11 for Minnesota)? Not saying we will, I'm going to let it play out but I think we will shock some ppl this year.
Last year, a lot of people picked the Vikings as their sneaky pick to make playoffs like people are doing with us this year.
We'll revisit this thread. I'm tired of quoting people in my sig.

Quote:My expectations are more like 7-9. I think that is enough for Gus to keep his job for another year. Anything less that that, he has to go. I think it hinges on how well we play at the end of the year if we are still fighting for the division or a wild card.

I'm sorry, but setting yourself with the expectation of 10-6 is going to leave you disappointed.

Also, the off season makes it easy to forget that the curse of John Oehser is still alive and very well.

Uh this team needs to cut bait if they can't go 8-8 or compete in this division.

I'm not making a prediction

But 10 wins? I don't remember people predicting that.

The way many from members are, I fully expect to see a new thread instead of someone digging this one out.
Well that's where you come in, or am I mistaken? As the board monitor, you simply dig this up, insert the official stamp, and yank the other one away. Silly posters, wasting threads.

LOL Are you talking to me? I am not a board monitor in any way and in fact have received warnings in the past. If other people want to waste my threads, starting a new one is more likely to draw their attention.
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility. The Colts defense sucks and they have no run game. I'm not sold on Brock Osweiler in Houston and Tennessee should have a great run game, but they are paper thin at WR and their defense is suspect. With that said, I believe we have a good shot at winning the division.

Im expecting 10 - 6 or 9 - 7 anything less Gus has to go
Gus better have his dairy queen application on file if this team is not .500 or better.

Ok...

It seems like everyone thinks the wide receivers will make Brock Osweiler look better than he is. People keep mentioning draft picks Will Fuller and Braxton Miller. Time will tell - Osweiler still needs to do his job.

I actually like their backup, Tom Savage. I think he's a better QB than Osweiler.

Just go with the prediction of 5-11 for this season. I'd like to believe that if you do, it will be hard for the Jags to disappoint you.

The problem there is that Thomas and Sanders didn't exactly make Brock look like a superstar and I'd argue they're a better tandem than Hopkins and Fuller/Miller

You don't have to argue: they are a better tandem.
