We need to land one of the elite defensive talents in this draft in the 1st.

I really like Jonathan Allen (along with Garrett and Peppers but those 2 are more well known at this point). He can do it all on the dline.

 

Allen, Fowler, Ngakoue, Day, Jackson would be a super talented young dline to work with.

Round 1

Jamal Adams SS, LSU- With Fournette and Peppers off the board, Adams finalizes the secondary. Despite the coaching, the D is performing much better than anyone expected this early in the season. I expect this group to compete for the coveted "elite" title in 2017. Adams will certainly help that.

 

Round 2

​​Ethan Pocic G, LSU​- Back to back Tigers. This offseason will be about upgrading the Oline. Pocic starts from day 1 at LG.

 

​Round 3

​Conor McDermott OT, UCLA​- Parnell has regressed. McDermott enters camp as the backup but will compete to take the starting job away. Parnell either gets it together or loses his job. This adds 2 quality (young) linemen to a group that is struggling mightily in the run game.

 

Round 4

​​Dalvin Tomlinson DT, Bama​- Big body DT to help stuff the opponents run game. Miller is up there in age (+ injury) and Jones is meh.

 

​Round 5

Corn Elder CB, Miami​- With Prince resigning yet with a history of injuries, Elder is a nice insurance policy. Undersized, but very physical, Elder steps in as the dime CB. Can help in the return game despite Miami not using him there.

 

Round 6

​Luke Falk QB, Wash St-​ Henne is released allowing open competition for the #2 QB job.

 

​Round 7

Greg Pyke G, UGA-​ Adds depth and competition for Cann.

 

 

 

I'm a huge UCLA fan and I want nothing to do with any of their O-Linemen. They can't run or pass block for crap! If we took McDermott, it would be a waste of a pick.

Good call out. I've seen mocks with him as high as the end of the first round all the way through round 3. Is he a guy that has the measurables but just doesn't produce/dominate like he should?

Exactly. That entire line is a mess. They can't run the ball and Rosen was getting killed behind that line. Currently he is injured with nerve damage in his shoulder because the O-Line looks like a turnstile.

Christian Jones - MLB - CHI - Depth at MLB

 

Draft: (Using CBS projected rounds)

1) Leonard Fournette - RB - LSU - Hard to pass up an Adrian Peterson/Bo Jackson-level talent. The running game needs to get going to help Blake

2) Ethan Pocic - OL - LSU - Best available OL

3) DeMarcus Walker - DE - FSU - Local kid and good pass rusher

4) Quincy Wilson - CB - UF - Have seen this kid's draft stock all over the place. Doubt he would be here but he is very intriguing and would form an insane duo with Ramsey.

5) Cole Hikutini - TE - LOU - Reliable TE to compete to be TE2 behind Julius.

6) Devon Allen - WR - Oregon - Would be a project but went to the Olympics for track.

7) Kai Nacua - FS - BYU - An interception machine this year. Would backup Gipson at FS.
