I totally overlooked "if they draft a guy" in your post

My bad!

Yeah - a big FA signing at DT would mean not drafting IDL in my scenario. Which I sort of implied when I said "would make the draft easier to navigate"

Whether they address it in the draft or FA - I just want to see a pocket disruptor added to our IDL room.
Best way to get our money's worth out of JHA and our draft capital out of Walker IMO.

Call me the Eternal Optimist but I think Smith is that guy. If Armstead has even his normal season next year and Smith continues what he did the last 5 games or so they could be pretty good inside. Jefferson was always going to be the run stuffing Nose type player, but you need that too. Look at what Vita Vea does in Tampa when he's in there. Not saying Jefferson is the same caliber, but he's got the raw tools to be very, very good at holding that point. Adding another pass rush guy who can disrupt into that rotation? Heck yeah, bring it on.
If we dont get Trey Smith, Teven Jenkins would be a good addition and put him at RG

That would be the ideal outcome for sure.

Fingers crossed.

They'll carry 9 if they are in a 4-3 base and at least 8 if they are in a 3-4 base next year.

And like I said - Hamilton can shove off. He ain't it. Take the dead cap hit if necessary - but it isn't necessary.
They won't even need to cut him.

Besides - if Armstead is your fourth DE - no big deal.
Walker + JHA + whomever they bring in to spell those two are gonna collectively get the lion's share.

I'm intrigued, how does Hamilton shove off if they don't cut him?

you know about those drones that keep popping up over metro areas? Suppose one has a VERY powerful tractor beam....

Is that Pre-6/1 or Post-6/1 abduction, for cap purposes it makes a difference?
