Last year we carried 7 wide receivers, counting the return guy. We currently have 8 under contract. They are listed in order of lowest 40 time. Note I used 4.43 for Louis as I saw a bunch of times ranging from 4.21, 4.3, 4.43 and 4.5
Brian Thomas Jr. - 6'3", 209 lb, 4.33
Louis Rees-Zammit - 6'3", 209 lb, 4.43 (rugby player)
Dyami Brown - 6'1", 189 lb, 4.44
Parker Washington - 5'10", 204 lb, 4.49
Gabriel Davis - 6'2", 225 lb, 4.54
-------------------------------------------
David White Jr. - 6'2", 195 lb, 4.59
Josh Cephus - 6'2", 186 lb, 4.62
Austin Trammell - 5'10", 185 lb, 4.63
I really only count the ones (5) above the dotted line. Those below seem to be scout team guys. We need 2 more WR.
Maybe they will sign Kupp, or draft a receiver in the first few rounds.
Not sure if they signed yet, but Amari Cooper, Keenan Allen and Stefan Diggs were available.
WR has definitely become another area of need. Gabe Davis gave you nothing last year, and I mean nothing, no production at all.
The Jaguars have big time needs at several positions. CB is a must. Safety is a must, and DT is a must. WR can be added to the list.
Free Agents that will make life easier - CB Asante Samuel, CB Stephon Gilmore, and the one I would like the most would be CB Rasul Douglas.
DT - There’s not much out there but Calais Campbell would be an immediate upgrade even at his age and miles.
DE - It’s scarce out in the streets for DE’s, but there’s a couple options on some aging vets like Dante Fowler, Emmanuel Ogbah, Za’Darius Smith. We can’t keep going into season after season with 1 or 2 guys that can get after the QB. We need a 6-8 sack type of player to help Hines-Allen and Walker. If either of them go down with an injury we’re in trouble.
Guards and Centers - just bodies
Safety - again, not much. You’re better off going with guys that are already here.
I’m not a needs kind of drafter but I might take a peek this year. The team just has gaping holes that need immediate attention. Them boys ran through that secondary like they was JV. Draft a CB in round 1 like a Will Johnson, then come back in round 2 and get S Xavier Watts. 3rd round, you could go get a Guard like a Tate Ratledge out of Georgia to help out along that offensive line who just recently signed a backup LT to be the starter, that also lost one of their starting guards and center. Honestly the offensive line is just as bad as the other positions of need. We really don’t know what we have at TE with Strange. I mean he ain’t nuttin special.
It’s rough out here in these streets right now.
This could end up being totally wrong, but for some reason, I just keep having this feeling that Travis Hunter is going to fall to the Jags at #5. He would be a perfect pick for us if he does.

Man I hope you're right. That'd be a home run.
If Hunter falls to 5, it will be Jalen Ramsey all over again. Deion was in Ramsey’s ear and he will be in Hunter’s ear. Man I’d love to have him but he will do the samething Ramsey did. 1-and-done type of contract.
Don’t get caught up in all the hype around Hunter playing both ways. He won’t be playing both sides of the football full-time. It ain’t gonna happen in the NFL. Those type of players are sprinkled into an offensive game plan. Sanders didn’t play both ways full-time, neither did Charles Woodson, Devin Hester, Troy Brown, etc.
Hunter will have packages on offense and jump in for a series here and there and he’ll return some punts/kicks, but his primary focus will be CB. If the Jaguars get lucky like they did back in 2016, and draft Hunter, they will still need a WR.
I get the feeling that the Jaguars are going to draft Jayden Higgins and may even add another WR (draft, UDFA or FA).
That half a billion dollar guy that ended the last 2 (actually 3) seasons hurt will be fine. Totally fine. The receivers were New Jimmy and a buncha [BLEEP] that trying to be the first to pull a Chad Owens in a regular season game. Let's draft a DB.
I hate the off-season.
We should draft defensively especially at the DT position(s), plural.
Time Will Tell.

This is a solid WR class. About 4 rounds deep in my opinion. I wouldn't rule out Tetairoa McMillan with the 5th overall pick, in spite of him not running at the combine and pro day. There's enough film on this kid to warrant consideration that early.
I think when you get further down in the draft. Tre Harris, Jayden Higgins, Jaylen Noel, Jack Bech, Xavier Restrepo, Tai Felton, Pat Bryant and Kobe Hudson are good options. Then you get the athletic freaks with limited production like Don'Te Thornton and Isaac TeSlaa that could be of intrigue with Gladstone now as our general manager.

Good to see you back around these parts. I’m warming up to your #5 pick. That would give me instant McCardell and Smith vibes from the late 90’s. Could give us one of the best WR tandems in the league.
They talking about trading Etienne but he’s more valuable to us than whatever pick they gain.
My safety net is the DT out of Michigan, the CB out of Michigan, McMillan, and the LT out of LSU. All of them would be instant starters and would contribute starting week 1.
I think jags trade down to pick 12 with cowboys so cowboys can draft jentry. they said cowboys are tradeing into the top 5 picks, and jags have the 5th pick. they being mediea people on nfl . I wouldn't be surpised if we did that. I'll be shocked if we stay at 5.
Draft day is here at last! If you haven't visited Duval Football Fans yet, I'd like to invite you over to take part in some great discussion as we get closer to the Jags pick being read at the podium. We'll also have a live chat box online later this afternoon so you can register your reactions real time. See you there.

My previous post in this thread stated that I had a feeling Travis Hunter was going to fall to the Jags. Five weeks later, it sure sounds like I was way off base on feeling that way. Oh well. If we want him, we are probably going to need to trade up, and I wouldn't be too excited about doing that.
At this point, I'd probably most like to see us get Ashton Jeanty, but there are a number of other ways we could go that would be just fine too. Whatever happens, we will probably end up with a very good player at #5, and hopefully the new regime will be able to follow that up with a number of other difference makers as well.
Draft day is finally here, Jags fans! Let's hope the team knocks it out of the park this year and changes our future! #GoJaguars #Duuuval
Are we trying to Trade Up for T. Hunter?
Time Will Tell.

I hate the off-season.
Not one 1st, but 2 and a 2nd.
Khan found and hired a guy dumber than the schmucks here and on reddit
I don't think it's the off-season I hate.
