I remember after his first scrimmage, I took my Wilford jersey and got it signed by Knighton. Actually I let my son hold the jersey as he signed it.


As he was signing it, I asked him if this was his first Jags Jersey he signed and he said "I think so" as he laughed.


I still have it in the closet.


He never had a stellar career bc of the position he played but still kind of cool.

He had an above average career but could never get over the hump because of weight problems it seemed.
Still remember the interception/TD return he had against the Raiders that got called back because of a BS unnecessary roughness call. It's always good seeing a big man run.

I remember folks saying he was done here and "too risky" to re-sign because of his weight.

 

Seems to me it would have been worth it.

 

But then, you never really know how much is left in the tank.  Mathis, D Smith, you miss some.
