I'm enjoying it still. First year playing MUT and really enjoying the solo challenges, gives me something to do when I get 10-15 minutes free in the day.

Why are all the Jets fans on their feet cheering on that play?

Just started playing last night. Love the live ticker in Connected Career. Not used to the running system yet. Hate how it automatically spins or jukes when you don't want it to.

 

Also have a devils time trying to pass rush with the DEs

All Pro it doesn't auto run for you.  the DEs aren't as effective as last year.  Either because our DEs aren't rated very highly or because they slowed down the defeat block animation.  its a bit more realistic now I think.
I would say it is probaly the best madden since I remember.  However nfl2k5 was still better.  But it makes 2016 feel outdated like by light years in franchise mode alone.

Its pretty good still have to mess with the sliders to make it more realistic/harder.  I've been messing with ultimate team a bit but its more tedious than anything.  I would really like to do an online franchise with like 8 people.
Madden 17 is pretty damn good. Chris Ivory has taken my game next level. He had like 350 all purpose yards and 4 TDs for me online earlier today.
Definitely the best one they've put out in a while.  Still tinkering with some of the controls to get things right.  The biggest aggravation for me was the running back doing "moves" by himself.  Cost me several times until I figured out how to turn that off.

 

Love the practice and tutorial on plays and stuff.  Franchise is definitely the way to go for me.

I like that blocked kicks are actually a possibility now.

 

I had a punt blocked the other day.  My jaw hit the floor as I sat in disbelief over what happened.

Ok so I've played it enough to get a feel for it.


Here's my thoughts. Running animation is way more smooth and closer to realistic as it gets. To more right, foward, right, forward, etc. Now you can bend around and run around the edge instead of a 90 degree cut.


When the receivers catch the ball they immediately go up field. Instead of jabbing a foot in the ground to allow the defense to tackle you immediately.


Passing seems more legit but harder.


Throwing on the run is harder.


Kicking is hard bc of the new meter.


I can't sack the QB for the life of me. You have to blitz.
I'm dispointed theres no mascots still dureing team intros,but yet i love the new addention of key momments. i can play 60 minete games still,and the key moments helps me do that cause im very busy.

I think the computer jukes too much-often for no reason.  The guy would have a nice run going, and would be nicer if they just keep running, but invariably, he'd spin for no reason at all and not maximize the gain.

 

It is more difficult to sack the QB, but I have managed with Fowler without blitzing.  But it is harder.  I know there are times in '16 Fowler would have gotten past the tackle, only this year, he would spin in the wrong direction and stay blocked, but perhaps it has something to do with developing his finesse moves attributes.

16 madden looked laughable when they got tackled.

This annoyed the mess out of me. I actually found that you can turn that off.  Under game options, the ball carrier "special moves" is set to auto.  If you go in and change it to manual the ball carriers will quit the automatic spin moves and stuff.

That's where I'm torn now.  All Pro I was getting waxed every week almost, went down to Pro and I'm undefeated.  Trying to find the right balance.

Put it in pro and adjust the sliders to your liking.
My only gripe is there seems to be A LOT of user fumbles.
I just hate that they cut out nano blitzes by making your dude hit an invisible wall even if you time it right. That sucks.
