This is just another unofficial poll as far as the political (voter) backgrounds of posters here.  In the last question, you can select more than one answer.  I am simply curious to see how this matches up with the other current poll regarding Presidential candidates.

EDIT - Just a reminder, this is for the Presidential election only as far as the third question.

Voted Rep, 3-5, and No, have not voted across party lines.

I can't say that I ever will, but I haven't yet.
5-7.. I've been intrigued to vote across my party line but have never done it.
I had to edit my OP to reflect that this is only for Presidential elections.  I have personally voted across party lines, but never in a Presidential election personally.  My selections are as follows.

Repbulican

7-10 (technically it could be 5-7, but this upcoming election will by my 8th)

I would vote across party lines.

I have never voted across party lines.

Independent. 3-5,

I lean left so voting right would be across party lines for me and I have before and would again. Not this year though.

First Presidential Election I voted in was 2004.  Then in 2008, and 2012.

I'm not registered with any party (though I once donated to the Republican Party years ago, and keep getting calls from them.  They don't seem to take the hint that I'm no longer a conservative).    I once had an argument with them that there were no good politicians worth donating my money to.  The guy on the phone then insisted that Michelle Bachmann was a good politician.

I doubt I'll ever register with a political party.

Republican, Will change to Independent this year.

5-7

Yes I Would

No I haven't

I was in a young republican club in high-school.  I was super bummed when Clinton beat Bush, but I was too young to vote in that election, but still very peeved about it.  I've been following this stuff since i was in elementary school.
I am back baby!

Registered Republican, but always voted Libertarian (until this year)

2008, 2012

I have before, but I won't this year.

Democrat --- yes, i have voted across party lines.

I think this is my history....

Clinton

Clinton

Bush -- I think but I may have voted Al Gore ?? Huh

Bush -- property values we skyrockting .... this was the roaring 20's for me.

Obama

Romney - I like Obama but I was working at Mayport Naval Base and he was proposing $600 million in budget cuts to the Navy.

My votes have been:

Badnarik

Barr

Johnson

My views used to be much closer to Eric's.  Eight years ago, we'd have gotten along really well.

Libertarian since I was 20.

This is my 8th Presidential election, where does the time go?

I voted for GHWB twice, voted for Harry Browne in 1996, GW twice, Barr, and Romney last time. I will probably never vote for a Democrat.

Bush McCain Romney

3 to 5

Conservative till I die

Numbers never lie

Progressives like to try

Till u look em the eye

Shake em, make em fly

LOL that's pretty good, but your last line kind of had me think "shake it off before closing the fly".
I missed the registration deadline to vote for Dole which was the first election I was eligible to vote in.  I've voted for Bush twice, McCain and finally Romney.  None of them were my candidate in their respective primaries and I wasn't ecstatic to pull the lever for any of them.  I even changed my party affiliation to "No Party Affiliation" for a while but realized quickly that being able to vote in the primaries is worth more than the pride I took in taking a protest stance.  But if you're going to the voting booth thinking you're voting for the guy or gal that's going to save you and change your life, you're always going to get disappointed because that's never going to happen. I just want the person that's going to get unnecessary government regulation out of my way as much as possible and I'm just trying not to vote for a party that wants to keep chopping off the bottom few steps on the ladder that I've already climbed out of "fairness" and create a hypothetical ever lowering glass ceiling where they can smugly look down on the rest of us from their elitist political position.

I could cross party lines for an Independent or Libertarian candidate given the right issues being addressed and the right circumstances, but the Democrat party has basically become the Socialist party over the last 40 years.  There aren't enough moderate Democrats to make me think that voting for a Democrat would get me anything but more socialism.  So I'll pass on ever supporting that and generally speaking voting for a 3rd party candidate instead of the Republican is almost like voting for the Democrat.  Any conservative that truly understands and believes in conservative principles of limited government should never allow themselves to do that.  If Gary Johnson polls in the 25% range just prior to election day I would give consideration to voting for him but otherwise it's at best a wasted vote and at worst helping socialism take over.

I'm sure some of you will find my Presidential voting history interesting, to say the least:

2004: Registered Green (for the lulz), voted Bush

2008: Registered Green (for the lulz), voted Obama

2012: Registered Republican, voted Gary Johnson

2016: Registered independent, voting?

Libertarian

Voted once: Johnson 2012 (I was 17 in 2008)

No I haven't

Registered republican, but voted for Obama 2x and definitely voting Hillary 2016.

Keep America Great.
<2%
Registered Democrat (only because closed primaries, I usually change based on the primaries, was a registered Republican '12 and Dem in '08, since Trump will lose I'll probably jump back to Repubs in '20)

More than 1 less than 3 (this would be my 3rd election)

Yes I have voted across party lines (I don't have a "party" so it's pretty easy to do)
