Forgot how camp he was until I heard him talk

If you could play both football and baseball at the highest level, I have no idea why you would pick football over baseball. Even in Russell Wilson's case. You can make way more money in baseball, play longer, and it is less violent.

Are you actually trying to understand the professional athlete's brain / decision making process?

Just saying, Tebow seems a little smarter than the typical athlete. He has to have some kind of idea his game wouldn't translate to the pros and if he had enough promise to turn pro in baseball from the beginning, it may have been the smarter route.
It's not about being smarter, it's about their competitive drive. Athletes that reach a professional level, even the ones that flame out quickly, are just wired differently. "Smarter" really isn't something that they think about, especially considering that the majority of them are still in their 20's.

Personally, I don't think Tebow will make it in MLB but I also have no idea why he would want to try.

Home schooled --- 22 of 50 on his Wonderlic --- dude is not the sharpest tool in the shed.
My Mets just signed him to a minor league deal. It's a low risk deal, but it seems like, as a fan, I can't escape the guy.

As a die hard mets fan living in NY, I feel the exact same way.

Too funny --- and you thought your Mets was a safe haven.  I mean, after all, even if Tebow goes to baseball, there's still only a 1 in 30 chance (~ 3%) that he signs with the Mets.

There's an article on TMZ right now.

TT hit a homerun to left center field...on the first pitch of his first at bat.

I would link the article, but my computer is being stupid.
