Sometimes humanity takes over. Seeing children and babies suffer the effects of chemical weapons will do that sort of thing.

Exactly, Syria had this coming. Obama was too scared to handle it.

No investigation. No evidence to suggest that Assad is attacking his own people chemically who just elected him not too long ago. And these attacks were conducted on the eve of peace talks? Come on folks. Don't be sheep. Assad was already winning.
This is another lame duck attempt to paint something out to be that simply isn't true. There were no WMD's in Iraq. Gaddafi wasn't attacking his own people in Libya. It was the CIA backed rebels in Al-Qaeda and ISIS that were or are pulling these attacks in these regions.
It's a joke....

Interventionist foreign policy only weakens a nation.

Yes. But don't send them homeless, hurt refugees here.

Airbase up and functional again. 20 MIGs? Meh, Putin will gladly give Syria a discount on replacements.
Trump responds to critics who say he's in bed with Putin by bombing an airbase, where Putin's men had no idea a WMD attack was launched (wink, wink, nod, nod). No problem, they get a one hour heads up.
Before becoming POTUS, the Orange [pre-] Emperor was all a'Twitter about how Obama better be getting Congressional approval before retaliating for a chemical attack.
Twitter history can be saved. Who knew the internet could be so complicated?
Meanwhile, nuclear option invoked, we get Gorsuch for 30+ years and nobody notices. Republicans betting on keeping the Senate until Kennedy retires.
Wag the Dog.

Syria used the same air strip to send out bombing raids today. In your face . Now? Can we just sit still, or did the can of worms bust open?

Fake gas attack and fake retaliation. Suddenly Trump is hero to all the previous swamp creatures.

This. So much [BLEEP] this.
Conservatives who close the doors on refugees don't get to play the humanitarian card.

Do you have room at your house? Are you personally willing to open your home to a refugee?

Are refugees being brought here to stay with individual, families? Is that how it works? You feel the attack is justified due to innocent children being killed. But never mind any coming to stay with you, you're against them coming into anywhere in the country. So this faux outrage and sympathy on your part is about as credible as campaign promises we've heard.
The irony and hypocritical supporters are saying..oh bad Assad. Killing his own people. Oh. Dead and wounded children.
These people have no where to go. So...bomb the piss out of Assad strongholds. But...in no way do we want these gassed kids over here.
Playing the sympathy card for gassed victims on your part is so full of piss.

I'm not against refugees coming into the country. I'm against non vetted refugees coming into the country. Pretty big difference.

Straw argument. Nobody is forced to accept refugees into their homes, and there are folks willing to accept them into their homes and communities.

Syrian refugees are vetted, and it is no rubber stamp.
04-13-2017, 11:28 AM
How thorough is that vetting process when in many instances, the records have been destroyed during their civil war? For the NY Times to say everything is hunky dory is pretty short sighted, especially when you take into account that there's really no apparatus to track these refugees once they're here. All it takes is one miss in the vetting process to create major issues here at home. We've got enough problems to deal with.

Quote:This. So much [BAD WORD REMOVED] this.Sure they can. The vast majority of refugees don't want to flee their country. They want to live in their country. Their have been a handful of Syrian refugees interviewed this week praising the events that occured after the gas attack and hoping it leads to getting back in their country. One was on CNN. They thought the guest would say one thing and it blew up in their face. It was quite funny.
Conservatives who close the doors on refugees don't get to play the humanitarian card.
Now what is comical is liberals supporting abortion, but don't want the death penalty.

From a vast majority to a " handful interviewed". Lol
But, of course, I'd would guess most do not want leave their country. But one look at Aleppo and refugee camps may leave little choice.
Then what? We can bomb the piss out of Assad, but does that settle things? But in the end, it's still sympathy for the gassed citizens, but draw the line at letting them come here.
Much like in some big cities where someone is laying on the ground, but so many ignore that person..not wanting to get involved.
Your view of comedy is comedy in itself. It's clear after reading some musings on these MBs, that abortion and the death penalty should be legal, and in some cases, encouraged.
