I don't care how much talent is on a team. If you lose 5+ games, you shouldn't begin the next season ranked.

I laugh how USC gets the preseason bump in the polls every year.

It's funny too because these USC Trojan teams lately are at the opposite end of the spectrum from the Pete Carroll-led Trojan teams that could play with anyone.

 

Alabama will smoke them badly.

It's nice to see Michigan relevant again.

I know it's cliche but I hate preseason polls. Certain teams are routinely ranked high early and end up losing 3+.

Georgia at #16? That's fair I guess with a new head coach in place. We'll see how my dawgs do this year with ol' boy from Bama'. I might actually start paying attention to the Canes this year though down in Miami. I think Mark Richt will bounce back.
