PHILADELPHIA -- Speculation has been rampant for months that the NFL will hold the 2017 NFL Draft in Philadelphia and two independent sources with knowledge of the league's plans tell NJ Advance Media an announcement is set for either Tuesday August 2 or Tuesday 8.
It is worth noting that the Eagles traded away their first-round draft choice in 2017 as part of the deal with the Cleveland Browns to acquire the No. 2 overall pick in April's NFL Draft to select quarterback Carson Wentz.
philly fans are probably the craziest in the nfl, this would have been classic if they had a pick.
Roger is gonna get booed into the next universe tho so its all good
Seems a bit silly to put it in a city that doesn't have a 1st rounder. Yes they have day 2/3 picks but Day 1 is the big event.
Would have made more sense to bring it to Philly in 2018 but what do I know...
I predict Jacksonville will host it in 2018.

Hopefully they don't require us to trade our 1st round pick away that year to get it.
The NFL will reward the Eagles with the 33rd (1st rd) pick just to see the fans reaction
I remember there being mention that LA was in the running for 2017 so I would expect them to get 2018.
It'll be interesting to see if they do award it to small market teams. I can easily see them going LA, Dallas, Washington, etc. before coming to Jax.
Could see it in Seattle/Boston/LA/Dallas/Atlanta/Green Bay/Denver/Washington and obviously New/ York/Chicago

I would expect it in LA once the Rams stadium is completed.
And I doubt it ever comes to Jacksonville.

I could not see it in Atlanta given their lack of a dedicated fanbase.
They'd go to New Orleans before Atlanta. The Saints fans can deliver when it comes to atmosphere.
