I recognize these are just my opinions but I believe the following ;
1) do not trade up for anyone as the only player worth it is Garrett and that would require us trade our first and second in 2017 and a second in 2018,
2) do not take Fournette, Lamp, Howard, Allen, Thomas, Foster, Barnett, Cook, Adams, Hooker, any CB or any QB at pick number 4. Instead trade back to 12 - 18 if there is any way possible to find a trade partner,
3) at 12 - 18 take Fournette, Howard, Allen, Thomas or Lamp in that order. One will be there.
4) take the best Guard, TE or Edge Rushing DE with our two 2nd round picks and our first 3rd round pick.
5) take Sidney Jones with our second 3rd round pick ,
Your thoughts ?
What if there is no trade partner then who do you take?

Solomon Thomas or Johnathan Allen. They would add to a fierce DL we have, more rotations will keep our DL men fresh all game even into deep 4th quarter. Or on a long shot take Malik Hooker. I think he will be a star player. He just seems like that type of hype player like Odell Beckham. He is an instant upgrade from Gipson.

1) I assume you mean do not trade up within the top 5. I could envision scenarios where trading back up into the bottom of the first round or trading up a few spots in the middle of a round to ensure we get a player might be advisable. It worked wonders for us in 2014.
2) If we trade down to 18, there is a strong chance all of those guys you mentioned will be gone. 12? Yeah, one of those guys are likely to be there. But to be honest, we aren't trading with Tennessee, who holds the 18th pick.
5) I would not take Sidney Jones with our 3rd round pick. I liked him as a prospect before he tore his achilles. Very few skill players have torn their achilles and returned to be the same player they were pre-injury. Were it an ACL tear, I'd be more receptive to the strategy.

I like all of your comments.
You are correct that I only meant that we should not trade up to # 1 through 3 in round one.

I agree with this.
This team needs top talent at vital positions like RB and QB... Trading back when your record shows you earned a draft pick as high as the Jaguars have, to take passed on guys, is just ridiculous... Dalvin Cook or Leonard Fournette would start for this team next year if they were drafted. Deshaun Watson would make Blake compete for his job again, and probably take it, and that wouldn't be a bad thing. Bortles has become complacent and losing is easy for him. It's something he's good at.. Nothing expected, nothing to stress about. More nights he can go get hammered at the bar and show up to work and easily beat out a washed up Chad Henne, some 3rd rate practice squad guys and coast into another loss on Sunday. The passive draft attitude of Dave Caldwell is starting to become a joke... He always thinks he's going to find a super gem in a late round rather than finding legitimate strength early... Caldwell needs to go if this team doesn't make the playoffs this year... New coach politics will probably roadblock that, but sometimes politics need to be shoved to the side and reality needs to be addressed...

Could you elaborate on this please?
IN 2013 He drafted Joeckle over Fluker... That was an "i'm feeling lucky today" swing and a miss.
IN 2014 He drafted Bortles over Khalil Mack, Kelvin Benjamin and Derek Carr... Another blunder imo
IN 2015 He drafted Fowler over Beasley... Beasley is producing and Fowler is still in limbo.
IN 2016 He drafted Ramsey.... he's solid.
I guess if you only want to hit on 25% of your 1st rounders... he's your guy.

1. In 2013, Joeckel was thought to be the top overall pick most of that draft season and was generally seen as a better overall prospect than Fluker. Considering both turned out to be disappointments, I don't see your point in raising this argument.
2. In 2014 the team needed a franchise QB. He chose the franchise QB over Mack. The Raiders got lucky Carr was there in the 2nd round. If they needed a franchise QB, thought Carr was a franchise QB beyond a shadow of a doubt, and still chose Mack over him, and were willing to wait to the second round to take a guy they thought was a franchise QB, they were silly to take such a risk. As for Benjamin, that 2014 draft was very deep at WR. After that draft, the Jaguars wound up with Allen Robinson, Marqise Lee, and Allen Hurns. There is no sensible rationale for faulting the Jaguars for what they accomplished at that position in 2014.
3. Fowler's first year playing was similar in production to Beasley's first year.
But the argument that somehow missing on first round picks (and the jury is out on both Bortles and Fowler) reflects a "passive attitude" indicating mid round picks are more important than first round picks is not grounded in fact and patently silly.
A team can miss on a first round pick and still think the pick is more important than later picks.

Ramsey is "solid"...... Future All-Pro is more than just solid.
Luke was thought to be the best prospect that year. Bortles was a risk. Fowler was also, by some, the best prospect in that draft.
Hindsight is so fun I guess.

Lol. Fluke has been worse than Joeckel. And kelvin Benjamin third overall? You're joking right?

Maybe he means Beckham or Watkins. The latter has been hurt his whole career so far though.
lol @ Fluker. Maybe it's time to retire your account.
Tom has stated depends who is there. No way will we trade out of top 10. And doubt will trade back.
Too many good players.
