I hope so.

In what situations could you see him getting the ball?

When he intercepts it.
I doubt they expose him to injury potential by doing that this year.

Maybe a gimmick play or two down the road.

That makes sense.
Yes. He is also in set to to line up as QB in the 2 point conversion Wildcat, be Gunner on punts, onside kick specialist, and will be main fill-in to sing the National Anthem if someone cancels at the last minute.

His knee is going to explode sooner than expected with all this usage.

Pretty much this.
I see Jack as the starting MLB.  He could play SS in certain packages.

I so hope not. They couldn't possibly be stupid enough to risk a potential star on a couple of gimmick plays. Especially when we are so talented on that side of the ball.

I don't mind a gimmick here or there down the line ala Watt as a TE. I don't want him doing it this year or even next year though.
doubt it. no need to risk injury.

No
Rich Eisen asked Jack if the RB coach had talked to him here and he said that the RB coach did approach him during his pre-draft visit but one of the Defensive coaches (can't remember who he said it was) pulled him away.

No

Jack is actually a good RB prospect, but the last thing I would want to see is him get injured because we decided to get cute in the red zone instead of just throwing it up to Thomas/Robinson or running it with Ivory. Keep him on defense where he should be an elite player instead of trying to get him a highlight when we have more than capable players on offense.

This still feels weird to say.
I would hate to be the play caller that got Jack's knee annihilated on a gimmick play.

What better way to end your coaching career than to give a potentially elite LB (who previously endured season ending knee injury) some offensive plays from the RB position.
I hope not
Madden does not allow
