What's remarkable, and notably unnoticed by Trumpettes, is Spicer's need for announcing Trump's contribution, as if it's really a big deal. The Donald is actually puffing his chest in pride over his largess.

Not sure why you keep asking this.  Trump's salary as a President is being paid by tax payers, thus "taken from someone's pocket".  So by your logic, he just donated other people's money out of the goodness of his heart.

A "real leader" doesn't make a big deal out of a relatively minimal contribution. He does it quietly and goes about his business.
