Quote:I can't find any combine numbers on Kevin Hardy but he was really impressive too. One of my favorite all time Jaguars and he doesn't get that much love.

That is a tough one. I thought for sure I'd find him on my trusted site... http://nflcombineresults.com/ ...only their results merely go back to the '99 draft where Hardy was part of the '96 draft.

Mike "the Scoopman" Thomas had a combine 4.30 40-yard dash which is among the fastest ever at the combine. John Ross just tied the record this year at 4.22.

Of note, M80 has been in the news lately for performing a Mixon impersonation.

Well he was 6'4" 260 playing OLB. He got after the passer pretty well, double digit sacks in 99 but he was good in coverage for a man his size, 4 interceptions in his first 3 years, and a good number of pass breakups too. He was great all around. I got no hard numbers on his physical stats but he was something to see.

Oh yeah.. how soon we forget...

R. Jay Soward was an athletic freak.

Indeed Kevin Hardy was a big, athletic LB... especially to go #2 overall and at the often overlooked LB position. He must have had great numbers. That said, I always felt that he was slightly over-rated never quite reaching his draft position potential as the 2nd overall pick.

well he had that nasty microfracture surgery, if 1998 Kevin Hardy was more his norm than his ceiling... man o man

I loved Kevin Hardy! Ran into him and TBrack around town a few times and they were always very friendly to us fans. What hurts is that knee did hamper his career, he really could've been great, but also that Simeon Rice went next in the draft at #3 and ended up with a HOF career.

He was my favorite Jags receiver until Blackmon came on board. Blackmon was easily going to be the greatest receiver ever to wear a Jags uniform, until he decided he wanted to drink more than Blake Bortles.

Soward was your favorite WR? Why?
Desmond Howard

Freddy T.

A very rare combination of size, speed, moves, and ability.

He was a once in a generation player. There hasn't been anyone close since.

Always around the ball, making plays,

Maybe not the most athletic, but definitely deserves his due, thought I'd throw him out there as well.

Including Beasley in this is like including Keenan. Some guys just aren't that athletic but that simply doesn't matter. Teez Tabor might be another Beasley.

You get most athletic, and YOU get most athletic... and YOU get most athletic!

EVERYONE gets most athletic!!

He's a phony he dont know RJ..Jk..if he is
Quote:I would need his 3 cone and shuttle, but the jumps and 40 time that we do have put him in the discussion with Ramsey and Alualu too yeah.

I remember his other numbers being pretty high up there too. Some sites have him listed as having

4.37 at the 40, nearly 40 inch vert at 6'6 242 is pretty beastly. They don't have his 3-cone now, but i recall during his draft that it was available and it was used in the argument of him being selected as a 1st rounder.
Quote:Rashean Mathis was very gifted athletically.

A reflection of that is he was playing at a top 20 NFL CB level when he was 34 years old.

In 1998 when Barry Sanders and Fred Taylor played in the same game,  there might never have been a more TALENTED pair of RBs in an NFL game as that December day in Jax.
