Julio OBJ Brown AJ Dez. They're all better than ARob right now but ARob is so young with so much room to grow. He has the talent and drive to be better but he's not there yet. He could be.
I have to disagree. Aside from his circus catch, I think Arob was the better second year receiver.

Yes.

I'd take A-Rob over that whiny little diva every day and twice on Sunday.  He's built for long term success in the NFL and can routinely out-muscle defenders for position.  As Beckham's athleticism diminishes - so will his production.  A-Rob has the size, strength and discipline to have career longevity. Beckham will have to alter his game to have a long career in the league.

No one here is denying the potential that ARob has. We are talking about right now. And right now, he is not top 5. But he certainly has the ability to do that in the upcoming season. (cue: "Well why don't you just go be a Giants fan?")

Also, being a diva has nothing to do with it. Moss and Owens were major divas......
I'd agree that AB and JJ are on another level than the rest of the NFL.

Below that, the next 7-8 guys (Arob, Dez, AJ, OBJ, Allen, etc) can all be better than each other from one week to the next.

Honestly I don't see OBJ as a top 5 either. Like I said, his circus catch got him on the map. If he never made that play then it wouldn't be such a big deal.

Valid opinion.  I just disagree.  I think A-Rob is a more complete receiver, right now.

He is routinely wide open because he runs great routes. He doesn't just make one handed catches. He makes all the catches. Beckham also had 4 drops last year on 153 targets. That's insane.

Claiming he just does circus catches shows that you really have not seen him play. If OBJ were a Jag, every single person on here would probably say he's the best WR in the league.

5 drops - but it's still an insanely low percentage.

Some would indeed call him the best if he were a Jag, but they'd be wrong.  Any team would be lucky to have him, but I'm glad we have the guys we have instead.

I also stated circus catch not catches. I also said that if it wasn't for that one catch he wouldn't be rated that high anyways. I'm not saying he's not good, I'm just saying he's not a top 5 receiver.

He's made more than 1 circus catch.....

If it wasn't for him routinely burning #1 corners and amassing the most receiving yards in their 1st 2 seasons in NFL history, yea.... people wouldn't talk about him.

Well said. You never hear anyone say that JJ and AB are always doubled "because nobody else on their team can catch." You don't have to quantify their ability like you have to with OBJ. JJ and AB are always doubled period.

I'd also include Brandon Marshall, Fitz, Demaryius Thomas and Hopkins in this group that on any day any one of them can be better than the rest.

How sad is it that I have spent more than 15 minutes trying to figure out who "AB" and "JJ" are?

Oh my! That's rather high up there on the sad scale.

Agreed. Fitz is approaching twilight however, but he's the consummate pro. Special guy.

Congrats to ARob. He has Fitzesque mellowness, resolve and dedication. Look forward to his growth.

I love me some ARob but how in the hell is he one spot lower than Drew Brees

Because QB's get all the love man. And in fairness. He actually had a pretty good 2015 season. He's starting to return to his old form under Payton again. He had 4800 yards, 32 TD's and 11 INTs last year. His QB rating was just over 100.0. Brees is the man. You go back and look at his numbers over the last 10 years he's spent in New Orleans. It's insane the amount of production he was pumping out of NOLA year in and year out. And he's played on some pretty terrible teams over the years. He's never really had a solid defense to help him win more titles. And the running game has been hit or miss there. They've put a lot on his arm. He's led the NFL in passing yardage six times out of ten in NOLA. Including 2015. And he's cracked 5K passing 4x in his career as well. I honestly think the players got it wrong. Brees should be HIGHER on this year's list. I would have swapped him around with Big Ben to be quite honest with you.

The only reason why the saints are relevant is because of Brees. He's a machine.
