Anyone who uses superior ingredients to Boars Head products would be a good start. That line is cheap garbage.  Full of fillers and preservatives. 

 

If you can find anyplace that roasts and cures their own meats without the asinine amount of nitrates in the boars head brand, then you are off to a good start. I don't know  where to send you locally though. I just moved home to Jax and make my subs at home. 

I'll roast my own turkey or beef. If I want cured meats/cold-cuts then I'll buy the applegate brand. Pricey but a hundred times better than boars head.

Everything is full of crap these days so the way I look at it id rather enjoy eating my flavorful poison than bland food.

Living up in Washington state I haven't found a place as good as Publix. They did just open a Firehouse a couple hours away and as you all know their subs are awesome. But for a cold sub Publix is tough to beat.

Do you guys have a Jersey Mike's in Jax now? If so those guys make a killer sub.

If you're going to a grocery store to buy a sandwich, you are pretty much lazy.  Go buy some bread, some meat, cheese and produce, and make your own damn sandwich.

 

Is the prepackaged meat, cheese and/or produce at Publix any better than any other grocery store?  Not really.

 

If an NFL player chooses to shop at one store vs. another really worth discussion?  Not really.

Do you know where your turkey or beef comes from? If not, you're rolling the dice as much as any Publix sub consumer.
