Quote:Kill me.

Seriously though, I'm used to sporting disappointment with the Jags, England and my supported football/soccer team all being garbage every year.

Which team is it?

I'm a Swindon Town fan, so I feel your pain!
I think I enjoy seeing England lose more than I enjoy seeing Ireland win.
I don't think England has ever had a keeper worse than Joe Hart. And why Starling was even in the squad was beyond me.

Btw, I read that Alan Shearer might be interested in taking over as England manager. I hope that's true.

I don't, I don't think he's up to the job.

I like the guy as a TV pundit, but England manager? No thanks.

You may be right. He's just my favorite player of all time so will always root for him.

Shearer could be an assistant manager akin to what Roy Keane is to the Republic of Ireland and I believe that would be a great asset to the three lions.

Find someone with a tactical mind and allow Shearer to shed his experience unto the fledgling stars of England and prepare them for big moments like Keane did with the Irish.

I absolutely agree with you, he could be a great asset to the coaching staff, but not as first team head coach. Not for me, anyway.

At least you're in great company (Jeff Stelling)...

Phenomenal player, but I'm not sure he'd be up to the England job. As a nation, we are terrible for supporting our country, I think him being England manager would sour his career. It's a job for which I envy no-one taking.
Quote:It's just ridiculous, if you want to fight, go somewhere and fight.

For me, leave the football stadia to those who have a passion for the game itself.

Fighting/aggression does not show passion, it shows that you're a moron. There is no justification for it whatsoever.

You've just described Eagles football over here

Haha, plus most of the South London Football/Soccer teams..
ICELAND, ICELAND...??? The soccer, football, fussball Mecca?

Brexit indeed. Wow.

Germany again? Held everyone scoreless so far.
I hope that Italy advance past Germany..

Strictly because Italy are my sweepstake team at work.

throw in some rain at Wimbledon and it looks like they hit the trifecta.

.... after the initial shock and some $$ infusion, i think the Brexit decision will have less of a recessionary impact than the initial speculation 24-48 hours after the vote.

I'm thinking Italy lets Germany ahead and actually helps them in the first 45. Then in the second half play against them.
I knew Wales could beat Belgium - they did it in the qualifiers in Wales and tied in Belgium.

Way to go, Bale and co!!!
This is why you watch the beautiful game.

Wales will make the final.Best form of anyone at this tournament and Portugal are a shoddy side.
Was an emotional night last night. It was a dream just to make it to the finals, last time we got to a major finals was 24 years before I was born (1958) and Pele knocked us out.

The whole country is in a state of shock. I don't know if we can beat Portugal without Ramsey but whatever happens I will remember this last few weeks forever. The only thing that would be better is a Jags SB win.

Best game of the tournament so far.

That Ramsey guy is a buffoon. Should have been sent off later in the game. Just not very smart.
If Italy beat Germany, they would've missed half of their team due to yellow card accumulation. Fortunately, die Deutscher Mannschaft pulled it together during PKs but Özil und Müller need to get their act together as both missed crucial penalties.

Here's hoping Island upsets France as I don't think they have the camaraderie necessary to lift the trophy. Rooting for Germany to take it all, though!
