Ok lets draft WRs from Germany not college

If they can ball, sure.

You're missing the point though so it's ok.
Quote:Where have you seen this about Walters? Not doubting, just a jags fan looking for something new to read.
I don't think I read it. I was listening to the guys on 1010 talking about the OTAs and they were talking about the group as a whole. They said how hard the guy would be to cut because he just gets open and catches everything thrown at him. It's not a camp sensation thing either, as he did it all of last season.
All of these good to great WR's we have is kind of surreal. Dave makes this whole 'pickin' players thing look easy. Why did we suffer for so long?!

Hopefully we suffered hard and long enough (that's what she said) to please Marino to lift the curse

Well, at 5-11 last season, our best season in years, I still consider us suffering, although you could say we are either suffering a bit less then we were for a while or we are still suffering but with better players.

Hopefully this upcoming season is the one where we finally leave the suffering in the past and start seeing a much brighter future for our beloved Jaguars.

It is starting to look that way, but I am going to have to see it on the field, on game day, to really start believing it.

Because we had a GM who settled for base hits rather than home runs, but more often than not, weakly dribbled grounders to the shortstop when he wasn't whiffing completely.

True. Weird though how he never even lucked into someone better than average

A baseball reference on a football message board...  nice!

Walters has great hands and nobody doubts that, but he'll remain a bubble player until he learns to do something aside from falling down after the catch.

The nice part of our situation is that instead of sitting outside of the restaurant like mongrel dogs we are inside dining on filet mignon, it will be interesting to see how many teams will be digging around our cans when cuts come down
If he stays healthy and develops chemistry with the offense. Jeeze louise, our offense could be ridiculous..

He had to do something during all that injury time.

lol
Because Allen Hurns went from a bottom of the draft player to quality starter on top of the drafting genius to nab AR15 and Lee we could be the next greatest show on turf. We have to get tougher and more physical on offense in terms of keeping defenses honest and dictating the situations of the game. Sacks will happen and we can't make a living being 3rd and 9 all day.

From the sounds of it, Lee's WOW day was really more of a WOW camp as he keeps showing up big. To paraphrase, Oesher said the defense over the final days of OTAs has been clueless to contain him.

Even last year when he was healthy he was always getting open. Blake missed him open deep a few times just because of his speed alone.

I really think this is Lee's breakout year like last year was ARob's.
I believe Lee still has the potential to be the #1 Wr.. Im not sure if that will be for us tho in the future..
Quote:According to Mike DiRocco,Marquis Lee had a WOW day today.Per rules, wasn't allowed to elaborate
Lee had the entire defensive backfield seriously upset w/him because no one could do anything w/him. The DBs were throwing insults at him as he returned to the huddle per J.P. Shadrick...

NH3...
I met Marqise Lee @ Las Vegas airport during MDW. I believe he was waiting for an uber with a couple of his friends. At first, I didn't recognize him but I was walking to my Uber I realized who he was and walked up to him and said What up Marqise, it's Duval! haha.  I told him that I know he's gonna kill it this year and he was truly appreciative of my words. It almost seemed like he was happier to see me than I was to see him! I wish I took a picture but I didn't want to feel like a groupie but as I was walking away to get in my car he said "Don't go too hard out here in vegas man, have fun!"

He is a stand up dude and I am rooting for him to kill it this year.
