Quote:It's usually what comes before the phrase above that causes the confusion.

There's no confusion unless you want there to be.

Same with "Congress shall make no law..." and "...shall not be violated...", these statements are simple and politicians do all kinds of gymnastics to get around the plain reading of the text.
"The establishment of" gave them all kinds of fits
Everyone in this video is an idiot. The guy is just looking for an argument. The cop has an awful attitude. Seems there's multiple of these videos on the internet. Not much evening entertainment over there?

Finally, I would say that 99.9% of Law Enforcement Officers will not plant evidence on someone.

While I believe an overwhelming majority of LEOs DON'T plant evidence, I think your % might be a little lower.  I know a few patrol officers that admitted (to me) to strengthening arrests with evidence that did not originate at the scene.  I'm not in any way justifying it, but from what I was told, those "tactics" were only occasionally used on habitual offenders that were far from reformed criminals.

It's like the cops are violating our rights at an alarming pace or something.

Shush you. Everyone knows cops are here to serve and protect (the interests of the state).

"A well regulated Militia..." is open to various interpretations.

Regarding the thread topic, we agree police often abuse their authority and violate the Constitution.

True, you can interpret it to mean what it says or to attempt to subvert a right of the people. The 4th and 5th are under just as much attack though it is far less sensational and therefore less newsworthy.
