Quote:Is Brantley really gonna last to the 3rd round? He seems too good, and I say a guy on NFL network have him going in the 1st yesterday

I'm doubting he falls, but there's a chance. If he does fall, I don't see why we would pass. Nfl.com gives him a first round grade although he's typically sitting there around the middle of round two in mocks, and a few like this one have him dropping into the early third. I'm looking at his sheer size along with the combine numbers he put up and am wondering why in the world he's not getting a whole lot more attention. Personally I'd be fine seeing his name called at #35.

I actually dont hate the original draft, but heres mines:

Rd 1: OJ Howard, TE

Rd 2: Charles Harris, EDGE

Rd 3: Dorian Johnson, G

Rd 4: Jamaal Williams, RB

Rd 5: Ryan Switzer, WR

Not bad at all.
Quote:My draft would look very similar to this minus the 3rd rounder.

id try to move up from our spot in round 3 to get tim williams if he falls that far in round 2. if i couldnt do that id take sidney jones. jones represents way too much value right there. he will sit a year but hes a first round talent.
I agree with you generally.

I might try to trade up for him, but my inclination would be to stand pat because we have too many needs.  Maybe if we traded down and accumulated picks, I might be more inclined to deal up for him.

I would not take Sidney Jones, especially if we did not trade down and get extra picks.  Were we talking about a torn ACL, I would be with you 100%.  Achilles injuries give me pause.
Quote:Wow. the Reuters mock is so much better than this one

And yet it is still much better than this comment with no substance.

That's reasonable. I leave that stuff up to the team doctors. If Jones was off my draft board I'd just probably go BAP there then.
