Quote:It may be the most watched NEWS NETWORK. That's mostly due to pundits like O'Reilly, who are commentators, not news anchors. The actual news broadcast on Fox is done by Shepard Smith (maybe not anymore, I haven't watched in years). I don't think the actual news broadcast on Fox is watched as much as CBS News, ABC News, or NBC News, and it's not considered "mainstream" by our ruling elite.
lol, you're so caught up in the "fight the establishment" mentality that you don't even recognize that Fox News is the establishment.

I never said they weren't establishment. I said they weren't "mainstream."

Whether you watch CNN, CBS, ABC, or NBC for news you get the same leftist spin. Same with the NYT, the Washington Post, and every other leading big city newspaper.

Fox is the only major news source (other than the Wall Street Journal if you consider that a major news source) that doesn't lean far left. Fox's actual news program is fairly centrist, and I wouldn't call it "mainstream." Mostly it's ignored, as those with a political bent (which is pretty much everyone who would watch a news network) only watch (or comment on) the commentary shows. Their commentary leans toward the Republican establishment. Hannity is a conservative but supports the establishment. O'Reilly is not a conservative, although he opposes much from the left, he's still mainly a big government authoritarian. They have had Kasich and Huckabee as commentators, and both are establishment types.

Define mainstream. FOX news has led the ratings race between all-news networks for 14 years.

You limited the field to "all-news networks." That's like calling Ryan Fitzpatrick a franchise QB because he was the best of the backups who got a chance to start.

You do understand that CBS, NBC, and ABC have news programs that pull in higher ratings than any all-news network does? And that's even including in the ratings political commentary shows, like Bill O'Reilly and Rachel Maddow, which are popular but aren't really news at all.

While more people watch network and local news, cable news viewers are more immersed, and get more news information and spend more time watching cable news. FOX is the leader among cable networks, and 3rd overall.
Quote:The AP is pretty far left. Maybe their app isn't.

Good grief, It's just a newsfeed. There is a commentary section but it's generally straight reporting.

Everything is left-leaning except Brietbart and the Drudge Report, apparently. Maybe Stormfront, depending on which Trump supporter you ask.

Odds are greatly in favor of more than half being right-handed.

True, but there's almost no shot than any one individual isn't a leftist. Overwhelmingly the news room is the most politically segregated arena in America.

People like their echo chambers.

If they are all leftists, what's there to segregate?
Quote:People like their echo chambers.

You must remember, any opening in the echo chamber is an escape route for a brain.

You're right.
