The Pens made it out of the first round finally!
I didn't think we had any hockey fans in here or else i would've started this thread. Haha
I haven't been able to get really into it like I have the past few seasons, mostly because I don't really care for any of the four teams left. I'm a NJ Devils fan, but since I live in south Florida, I was pulling for the Panthers, who got eliminated in the first round. I guess I like Tampa and San Jose, though St. Louis isn't too bad either.
Hockey fan here (and not just for the playoffs either!).
I am a Pens fan and having a good time right now. Got home ice back last night and hoping we can get to the finals. TB is dangerous though. It's been really exciting see how this team has evolved over the course of the season. Really like the mid season change with Sullivan.

One thing in particular that caught my attention about the NHL playoffs is all 4 division winners didn't make it to the final 4. More than any other professional sports league in North America, the NHL is a playoff league. It's rare when the team that wins the President's Trophy in the NHL ends up winning the Stanley Cup.
I've been loosely following San Jose. My buddy that I just went out and visited in CA has season tickets and we watched a couple of games at the bar while I was out there.

He's admitted before that he is a band wagoner. Yesterday though, he was talking like he was fully vested. Talked about the exact time the OT goal went in and how elated he was. Get the heck outta here.
I just saw a tweet of his, "my man 88 came up big." What a joke.
And he talks about how he doesn't like bandwagoners, and when the Jags get good not to hop on.

When the pens are running strong, the Lightning don't even look like they belong on the ice. It's disgusting. Luckily, Vasilevskiy has been playing great in Bishop's place. Literally the only reason why this series didn't go downhill quickly.
