Your last two posts are about how Henry has been doubted his whole life.

I'm pretty sure those 150 pound safeties he was running over in high school didn't doubt him.
Jerome Bettis had a pretty healthy career as a predominantly north-south runner. I'm not saying he's gonna be the next Bettis, but I'm not ruling him out being a factor on any Sunday that matters based on this clip.

I see this pick by the tacks to be Mularkey hand selecting a weapon for his 'exotic smashmouth' offense. I'm guessing we'll see Henry and Murray on the field together at some point. I'm not sure they have the line to pull off what Mularkey is trying to do, but Mariota has already shown his wheels. If Murray can get a bit closer to his twilight year and all they need for Henry to do is run the 'Forrest Gump', not every Defense has guys in the middle who can stop that.

..or maybe he'll be LenDale White eating a box of Twinkies on his couch in 4 years. We'll see soon enough.
Good article on why this is prob irrelevant

What is so shocking about this drill? I don't think he'll be good, but nothing in that drill was new. He goes down quicker than a 160 pound back if you get him going east-west or force him to change direction.

I thought this was pretty obvious.
Wouldn't know that from reading the rest of the thread, lol.

thought so too but based on the responses in this thread apparently not

Wow.He's strictly a north and south runner, nothing lateral.

That's not Derrick Henry.  That's TRoy "big play" Smith from my high school.  Dude's a freak
Quote:I don't know man, maybe that was at the end of a really long day of practices and he was super tired, but jesus that looked awful.

Jeez, that was just difficult to watch. Almost like it was a skit or a prank.

Think he may have been hittin' that Tennessee moonshine or Jack Daniels prior to practice.

Yeah but Bettis actually had great feet for a big running back.

It's amazing what people don't remember at all. Bettis was a big back, but he had incredibly good wiggle for a guy carrying the kind of weight he was.

No he hasn't.  He grew up down here and has always been thought of as the top player in the State of Florida.

you need to get off of the porn sites and spend a little more time doing research so you don't make obvious misstatements.
I support all the HS athletes from the NEFL area, and I want them to succeed, but damn that was sorry.

apparently not for many in this thread.

Yep. Bettis had great feet.
Didn't we just have a back that was big but had bad feet, oh and was pretty successful in college, how did that work out
I don't get anyone supporting this dude cause he's from Florida. Dude left for an out of state school then went on how he wanted to be a Cowboy. It's poetic justice we play him twice a year to knock him into submission. He's the enemy.

I say this as a biased FSU fan, but I think Dalvin Cook was the best RB in college football last year.

It was McCaffrey but, dalvin cook might have more potential in the NFL than Henry, but you can't really be mad at the choice of Henry given the season and numbers that he had.
