Pittsburgh games are always my favorite, though if the trajectories of the Jags and Raiders hold true I can see that developing into a rivalry with annual meetings.

The thing about Pittsburgh is I don't think they think of us as much of a rival like we do with them.  Their division is very competitive minus the Browns so they have strong rivalries with all of their division foes as well as the Patriots whom they tend to play annually.  When we are on their schedule, they've got several other bigger games to worry about.

Our division has been hot garbage as of late.  As much as the Jaguars ascendance is overdue, needed and deserved, I think the division as a whole getting better helps us as well.  I'd love to have a rivalry develop with one of our division mates that mimics the Steelers/Ravens rivalry or what was for a time 49ers/Seahawks rivalry.  That only happens when both teams are good and stay good for a while.

Got to be Pittsburg. Those were the daze of the Black and Bruised division.

Plus, when ever beat the Steeler's we can look forward to a Frangie breakdown the next day.

HeadSlap

In my mind it's easily the Ravens. Especially with how they couldn't pry Ramsey from us.

Raiders for definite. So many different matchups to look out for

Bortles vs Carr

Arob vs Amari Cooper/Sean Smith

Fowler vs Mack..Mack vs Beachum

Jackson vs Osemele/Gabe Jackson

Yeldon vs Murray

Return of Reggie Nelson and Del Rio.

Looking forward to this game more than any other.
I do agree with the raiders comparison! Both rebuilding same

Time etc. Should be good!
Raiders. JDR vs the new regime. Jack is building the 2005/7 jaguars 2.0 for the raiders.

You'd be surprised although you do bring up excellent points.

Living in Western Maryland, smack dab in the middle of Redskins, Ravens and Steelers countries I can tell you that Steelers fans who are old enough to remember the AFC Central do still consider us something of a rival and they rarely, if ever, look at us on their schedule as a gimme win no matter how bad we may be. Needless to say, I count a fair number of die hard Steelers fans as friends and nearly all of them look forward to the games we play and, more importantly, seem to genuinely want us to do do well outside of when we play them.

Just imagine what that rivalry would have become had we remained in the same division all these years.
I agree with Jagbuck. The Steelers are our biggest non divisional rival. If there were one team that I would like to see end up in London it would be Pittsburgh without a doubt. I hate the Steelers.

Steelers and Ravens primarily..

We have sucked since leaving that very tough division..   I still haven't gotten over it.

Pittsburgh or Raiders. Pitt because of the history and Raiders if and only if both teams reach the potential that everyone thinks they both can become. I just might go watch that Pitt playoff game on YouTube, I used to loved showing up and just smashing the ball down the throat of the Steelers when they had those highly rated defenses. That and how Rashean seemed to own Big Ben!!!
I wanna say the Chargers ... We play them like every year... Cant stand them.. But i think the Ravens and Steelers and Dolphins are our closest rivals outside division.
Besides the obvious choice of the Steelers, I would also point to the obvious choice of the raiders as of late. I like the idea of it being the Raiders also considering I live in California and as it currently stands the Raiders are located in Oakland, being about a 2-3 hour drive from me. So I would love to be able to attend games in a great rivalry to come.

Quote:I would say Oakland is the logical choice.

Both teams have been drafting well over the last three years.  Both teams have young promising QBs.

Both teams have young stars and potential stars throughout the rosters.

If both develop as anticipated, both teams should battle for AFC supremacy in the seasons to come.

To this I Agree but let me add a twist. The better team will have the better HC...

Quote:This. I love playing Pitt because it's always a physical, 2 chin strap brawl.

I'll throw in Carolina as well since they are our expansion team brothers.
I agree with this. I live in Panther territory and would love it if we had a good old fashioned rivalry going and tore them up.

And I miss watching us play the Steelers. Man those were the days.
Quote:Steelers without a doubt. There has historically been some memorable games with them over the years, especially when they were our division rival.

*  First home win in franchise history

*  Fred Taylor 234 yards rushing in Three Rivers (stadium record)

*  Biil Cowher almost punching Chis Hudson on block kick return

*  Beating them twice on their field in 2007

*  Jags hold all time series record 12-11

Agreed.  You can't just say "let's rule out the Steelers" considering they are the only real answer to this question.
