Hi, Jaguars fans! Former Jacksonville Jaguars. Denver Bronco Defensive Coordinator, USC Trojans Linebacker, and current Oakland Raiders Head Coach Jack Del Rio, will and he is scheduled to be interviewed on The Jim Rome Show during the 2:00PM hour, and heard locally on WJSJ 105.3FM in Jacksonville. Forward to listening your radio interview with Romy JDR, and GO JAGUARS!!!!!
Wait..... Is this official?
Rome is still on the radio?
Radio waves move at the speed of light, in the form of electromagnetic energy.
Pretty sad. I drive over the Shave Bridge and their signal evaporates.
If the best Jim Rome can do in a NFL market is a local Fernandina station, it's time to hang up the cleats

J.D.R isn't better than Coughlin but based on record and everything else he is still the 2nd best HC Jacksonville ever had.. despite the calls from dumb fans to have him fired..
A few thoughts...
I'm amazed Jim Rome's still on the air. To me, the guy is 1998. I listened to him for a few months then grew tired of his act. It's hard to believe people still listen to him nearly 20 years later. He just seems to have a short shelf-life IMO.
Second, I'm not going to bad mouth JDR. While he wasn't a great coach, he wasn't a bad one either. I liked his aggression in going for 4th and shorts especially. He didn't see a 4th and 1 he didn't like. He was an innovator in that regard. He and Belicheck were never afraid to go for it on 4th and short which IMO revolutionized the NFL in a small way. I also liked how he'd call time out with 4 minutes or so to play instead of waiting until the last minute to call timeout. Most coaches wait too long to use them. His clock management is far superior to Bradley's.
I swear, Del Rio's hair hasn't moved since 2009.
Jimmy Johnson's hair hasn't moved since '93!

The EXACT SAME ones that are doing it to Bradley.
I developed much respect for JDR after he left when it became apparent how much he was doing with so little.
I loved Del Rio and am happy he is doing well. That being said, it wad time for him to go. Would've been interesting to see what he did with the talent on this roster.

Not so, I was for JDR to remain right up until it was obvious his message was tired. I opposed Gus pretty much from the start.

I agree with the sentiment here. To be 8-5 and in the driver's seat for the wild card, to losing his last three games to finish 8-8 and out of the playoffs. There needed to be a change of scenery for both, I think.
Of course, our scenery was Mike Mularkey. Oh, to have hindsight.

Thought the same thing when I read the title.
