So in 100 years we're all considered [BLEEP]. That's useful information.

For example, the Wright brothers... Idiots

The ancient Sumerians... Today's equivalent would be an entire nation of people with Down syndrome

Quote:As a teacher I can say that my class requirements are significantly greater than when I started a decade ago and a whole heck of a lot more stringent than when I graduated a few decades ago. Also, math class expectations are a lot higher too. Heck, when I graduated from high school we didn't even have accountability tests to prove we knew the material. It was all up to the teacher whether you got credit. Kids today are at least taking tests to prove whether they known something about the material.

First of all, thank you for your service.

I have a pretty good memory, and key me tell you, my 7 year old daughter and her 1st grade class are writing and reading. When I was in first grade, I was still learning the abc's, and how to write them.

My daughter is writing whole paragraphs about bats. She's reading books that I wouldn't have started reading until 3rd grade.

So yeah, I think it's clear that kids are being pushed and standards have increased over the last 20 or 30 years
