A while back, you advocated a full time 4-2-5 scheme.

Does the drafting of Jack realize this, for all intents and purposes?

Why or why not?

That, along with the addition of Ramsey certainly would make the transition easier. With Telvin Smith and Jack now on the roster, you have two force players that can also handle coverage duties.

The missing item, I think, is another ILB to go along with Poz.

The thing that I like about the 4-2-5 is it kind of defies the adage of "the coverage defines the front." That is almost always true, but with the Spurs (Jack and Telvin) you can flip to run or pass support mid play.
So Jack could play that hybrid S/OLB role the 4-2-5 envisions?

I think that he can, yes. And while Talent is the key to having a great team, I feel like the real issue standing in the way of this happening right now is not the talent on the roster, but rather can the coaching staff teach it? The 4-2-5 is an old Defense, so it should have answers for most anything an offense throws at it. But never forget the First Rule of Coaching: don't coach what you don't know.

This isn't to state that the coaching staff is inept, it's just that they may not have a good enough working knowledge of this particular Defense in order to be able to adapt.
