Quote:Brandon Allen was a wasted pick to me, but like everything else.

I find it refreshing that the most scrutinized pick made by the Jaguars was their late sixth rounder.

There's always something to complain about it. If it's a 6th rounder, were in alright shape.

That pick is only scrutinized by Jaguars fans. Everyone else only cares about the first two picks and how we used #146.

Now the time has come to start my second hiatus, which will end in late August. See you guys later.

Off the top of my head, In the last several years the Patriots have drafted QB's:

Rohan Davey

Kevin O'Connell or O'Donnell

Matt Cassel

Ryan Mallet

Jimmy Garoppollo

Jacoby Brissett

Cassell did a remarkable job in '08 when Brady got hurt and brought back a 2nd rounder; Mallett served 4 fine years as the backup QB and brought back a pick; Garoppolo is doing the same.

It is worthwhile to draft a QB late.

They also drafted Hoyer

the only people that complained are the ones that haven't seen Henne play

This wins the internet for the day.
Was Hoyer a late round pick or a UDFA? I forget, but it doesn't matter, he is part of that group, too. I remember one of the networks had a living room camera on him during that draft for some reason and he was hoping to go in a middle round. His GF was strutting around and it was all fun until the reality set in about the 6th round. I remember her sitting on the couch with her arms crossed in front of her at that point; had she lit a cigarette then it would have been perfect.

I just cheated and looked it up- in addition to the list above, they also drafted Zac Robinson and the immortal Kliff Kingsbury since they got Brady in 2000.

Dave Caldwell may be following that blueprint by drafting a late round developmental QB and that's a good thing.

I know I'm resting a lot better after having read that.
There's a strange quietness settling over the board now.

Think it's a "bated breath" type of thing?

"she" has to get back to her actual, non trolling life.

Weird article about Brandon Allen and why he fell in the draft.

I think Hoyer was undrafted.
