I really wish we had Bruce Irvin right now, his salary would be nothing for us and that LB group would be the stone cold best in the league.. It would also clearly extend the length of Jack's career without having to play as many snaps for the duration of Irvin's contract.. Just a thought as I'm at work on Saturday still in denial of what happened last night in the draft.....
Waffles!
Dude we are on the verge of something special for many years to come, and your worried about Bruce Irvin??
We got Myles, Jalen, and Yannick! And Dante
And we still have 4 rounds to go.

"Dude we are on the verge of something special for many years to come"... maybe. The possibility of such a thing is not out of the question if our acquisitions live up to their potential... and if we can stay injury free... and if no else gets in trouble... and if, and if...
The point is that there are a whole lot of 'ifs' that need to go our way for us to make such dramatic statements. It's great to celebrate now on our present good fortune with our acquisition of f/a's and draft picks. The thing is though, having players on a team who have potential isn't the same thing as realizing that potential in a real game. Let's see what happens by the end of the first quarter of the regular season before we start celebrating too loud and hard. We've been down this road before and came up distressingly short of our expectations.

If Bruce Irvin stays healthy. Heck you can say that about any player in the league.
Malcolm Smith, Brandon Browner, Byron Maxwell, Walter Thurmond... struggling after leaving the Seahawks defense.
Let's see what Bruce Irvin will do before having regrets.
People would complain like they did when the team had signed Big Red & Chris Clemons and would say that they are over the hill veterans no longer in their prime... people will complain no matter what IMO.
