I place a lot on what a player feels. Is he mad he is being over looked for nothing? Not in this case. He never said he was great and he expected a HOf career. He said "3 years is about all an average player plays anyway", that's not from some doctor or conjecture, it's his words. there is no way to take that statement in a positive light unless a blind homer.

 

Sounds like a man wanting one nice payday which is why he slid, nobody wanted a 3 year player, or a part time 3 year player and done. Not when Ragland and Bullard and Henry and A'shawn still on the board, All these All Americans are there that are not talking about 3 year careers. Its a risk I wouldn't have taken. Time will tell of course.

When Dr. Andrews says he won't need it I'll take his word. The other NFL teams got duped lol

What I got from that was that he didn't need it right now. I don't think any doctor knows whether he will need it down the road. It's too hard to tell.
