OP does have a point in that the local ties of these players will bring in new fans. I know plenty of Noles fans that will be taking look at the Jags now.

 

These local players do bring attention to the team, but winning will keep them around. And unlike past players these players can legitimately help with that.

Please keep in mind the Cardinals. They did same thing. However revenue did not pick up and they bolted.


Now this is not the same situation due to Khan an owner and building up Jacksonville.


However many new Florida Fans will be bandwagon to Jags if not already very shortly.
