Not gonna name specific players but round 2 take the best G or C available and then trade back into the late second to take a pass rusher as there is a wealth of DE's for the 2nd and 3rd??
thoughts, feel free to plug the players.
Just take BAP at this point. It's so much talent on the board right now it just doesn't make sense to try and go for need unless it matches. Im one who really thinks we should go DE but if a LB or C is their top guy just take the guy.
I wouldn't take a guard or a center yet. Especially if Jack or Spence or Dodd are available.
I agree the DE is most important after getting Ramsey, I was suggestion maybe a trade back to mid 2nd... take our G/C for the future... then use our picks to trade right back up and grade the best pure LEOish player available. Just a way to maximize the overall talent level out of the next 2 picks.
A good possibility. Probably makes a lot of sense, however, its deep at guard and center, could even find a starter in the 3rd. It just depends who's available on the board. Maybe the Jaguars really do like Myles Jack and take a gamble in the 2nd.
We found Linder in the 3rd. These next two rounds are about finding starters and contributors to this team. Id say whoever is top of their board, and if they have a bigger need than the guy on top of the board, then maybe they take the best guard or center available.

I would do just the opposite-get the pass rusher first then perhaps try to move up to get the C.
Thing is, you could draft a G in the 3rd round and move Linder to C and still have a good OL.
But there really isn't much substitute for pass rush ability. There isn't anyone else on our team we could move to end and have a reasonable expectation of success.
I like it, I would say if Noah and Myles go before us my scenario makes a ton of sense and that's more of what i had in mind... I'm not a fan of taking a G in the 2nd but a long term C is a good option. There are so many DE's and DT's left i just don't want to see us lose out on that final piece to our Oline... but really I don't think Dave can go wrong with whatever he does at this point

This makes sense also, and considering how deep the lineman are in this part of the draft it would all depend on who is left for us as a DE.
Spence/Dodd round 2
Best available guard/center in round 3
That gives us 3 players who will make an impact year 1.
